Fighters' carrier ship's name and id are written on the left wingtip, while squadron id, fighter's number in the squadron and callsign are written on the right wingtip.
In this case this fighter is the 01 fighter in the Alpha squadron of EA Cygnus, it's pilot's callsign is Cobra.
Earth Alliance Navy insignia is on both wings.

Here we go at this again.
Sure air force should deal with everything flying rite? No.
Navy has the doctrine to operate ships, thus they operate the space FLEET, and thus it operates the fighters that launch from those ships too.

No. This is a somewhat common misbelief that people tend to have. The term 'Air Force' is used for forces that operate in the air. In the space there's no air, so the term 'Air Force' would be pretty useless here. Instead, the word Fleet stands for a number of warships operating together under one command, while the word Navy stands for all of a nation's warships or a group of ships (basically, a fleet). As such, both of these terms are widely used in science fiction to portray large groups of spaceships instead of the 'Air Force' term, which again, wouldn't make any sense in space. Hope this was useful.
Your work looks really good GGS, keep it up.

No. You are wrong, plain and simple. There is nothing to 'disagree' on when factual information is presented to you. What omega20 said is correct. Navy does not dictate water based military. On top of that, multiple games, lore, movies, etc, have used the term 'Navy' in space.

Then I can't give you an example because I can't quote a game, movie, article, etc to you.
