I started messing around with my Hunter because I wanted to try out the pets and see what the Pet Talents are like. My loyal Scorpid gets a tanking spec, and it's pretty funny watching the little guy use Charge and Intervene like a mini-Warrior. It also has Last Stand at the moment but it hasn't used it (or needed to, for that matter). I'm just laughing because this puny scorpion zooming around is pretty cute.
I bet you're the type that has a thing for female gnome warriors with pink hair and pony tails.

Tried out Lake Wintergrasp. It's like AV on crack, but it lags like hell. I picked up a fighter plane and I had a really had time hitting people with it.
Since the Alliance started out with the keep the Horde had to siege. It was pretty funny watching all the Fighters and Bombers making attack runs on the keep main gate. In a sense, it's kind of like that laggy War3 map with airplanes.

I like the sound of that! Well... not so much the laggy part, but the "AV on crack" bit. My favourite PvP moments in WoW have always been those 'heroic last stand' situations in Dun Baldur/Frostwolf Village, so I'm happy to see that we're getting some more siege/assault stuff happening with Lake Wintergrasp and Strand of the Ancients.
Out of curiosity, what siege vehicles are avaliable in Wrath/Lake Wintergrasp so far?

Apparently the latest beta build impements one of the huge events: The Battle for Undercity

Varimathras and the Grand Apothecary launched a coup and threw Sylvanas out of the city. Both the Alliance and the Horde go into Undercity and fight a whole mess of bad guys (Horde fights Varimathras, Alliance fights the Grand Apothecary). At the end King Wrynn declares war on the Horde, but Jaina stops them (for now).
The war is back in Warcraft.

Niceeeee.. I was waiting for a huge event like this.
Although, personally, I really wish they had a more "episodic" event system, where maybe once every three months a large overall story continues to develop.

I don't want to watch those videos and spoil it all, but will the "real" Undercity still be around after this, or does this battle actually take away its status as a capital? I'm wondering if there's suddenly going to be two versions of Undercity (one at war, and one completely oblivious) existing at once now.

That's what I was curious about, because what about newcomers playing Undead?

Basically, Varimathiras and the Apothecary are "phased" out of visibility to players who have completed the Undercity quest. All other players will still see them as they are on the "pre-quest" timeline in their personal adventure. All post-quest players will no longer see Varimathiras, the Apothecary, or Saurfang and Fordragon. But the city will resume as usual once the quest is completed.

I just had Adun explain that to me. This new "phasing" technology could be pretty nifty. They'll be able to pull off more intriguing events out in the main world this way. Perhaps less conflicts between groups of people after the same quest boss, too.

Apparently this Grand Apothecary guy isn't even in the game yet; he apparently appears during the upcoming Scourge Invasion in Shattrath in order to counter the Undead Plague.
I guess that would explain why I never saw that guy before.

This is the best event in the Warcraft universe since the end of TFT.
