Two AWP's, a slightly older League video (HTML directory, under 2015), and an Awesome Possum castover are now up.

I have completed Lords of Game Testing 2 recordings. I'm still floored by how this game ends.

With two big titles off my list, I'll begin cleanup and encoding and look to starting my next solo string.

/e

Cat mangled its eye again. Back on goes the hood. So ends the time of relative stability.

/e

I have re-organized the League HTML directory somewhat. Notably, the pre-2014 casts are now grouped together, and the 2015+ casts are in their own section, on the bottom. As it is highly unlikely we will see any ranked play again, all cast types, including analysis comps and individual games, are just grouped in one spot by date.

To that end I have added several more games to the list.

Holy shit! I am just 1 hour into segment 2 of dragon's dogma, and the next LP is already around the corner, and it's nothing less than game testing 2 itself! I don't even know when I am going to finish watching it all.

In any case: I am so hyper!

e: oh god!

Well, that run was almost finished as it was when I picked it up again. Anything more is going to take a lot longer to get out, though I have a few smaller projects that will come out soonish.

I downloaded segment 1 of game testing 2 and got ready for a great cinematic high quality twilight shadow experience.

But fate had one last card to play.

My download seems to have broke, because the last 10 minutes are just missing.

But fate had a different idea.

After switching my browser to chrome and becoming an international spying target for google, I found that whenever I click on your download links, it would not prompt me to save it, but would actually play it in the browser itself, from which I can select to download it anyway. This was really useful, enabling me to skip to the last 10 minutes and play it, and giving american secret agencys terrible nightmares about game design.

But fate had something else in mind.

The download problem still persists, which randomly cuts off my download connection. It remains very annoying, because it seems to affect the files I have downloaded aswell, damaging them. Atleast I can watch missing parts in the browser, even though it is prone to get stuck loading just the same.

But fate planned one last thing.

This writing is already giving me the chills.

Are you using DTA or jdownloader for downloads? The FTP is reporting identical size to my video. I'm seeing no issues on my end and my internal viewers didn't mention anything. The reported file size in windows should be exactly 2,323,334KB (in explorer). Size on disk 2.21 GB (2,379,096,064 bytes) in properties.

For the record, Chrome on my tablet I got from the bank cannot sustain downloads off the server at all, not even small ones. They always fail.

/edit

Also, one other thing. Lavarinth told me the host is/was performing some kind of maintenance which, at minimum, was breaking this forum's CSS a lot. I don't know for certain, but it might cause issues with downloads. Be sure you're using DTA at the least (DownThemAll, Firefox addon, compatible with PaleMoon).

I haven't been using any special download tools/addons, but I'll try jdownloader out, hopefully it'll keep it all together when the download-speed breaks down.
Checked the file out, and it was only 2,00 GB. Bugger! My own internet is ripping me off! But the problem with the file was very likely on my end due to connection failing, and cutoffs like this did happen in a few rare instances before. I don't know what kind of BONE this host has to pick with me, but atleast the parts which are downloaded are perfectly viewable, so whatever is missing I can easily watch in the browser, if it loads that is.

Also if you are using wireless, be prepared to see a lot of dropping connections as well.

Four new castovers are now available - Home Alone (Bethesda masterpiece) and 3 Game Demonstrations (R-Type Delta, Rondo of Blood, Raiden DX) which opens the third portion of the castover section.

/e

The cat situation has gone from bad to very bad (onset of melting ulcer bad). I am back to a 4+6 hour drug rotation and pills. The no time for sleep may mean more casting but also will evidently mean more exhaustion. This is a last ditch effort to save the eye it would seem. With absolutely no money I am trying to juggle remaining drugs from the last fiasco with necessary refills and I'm not going to make it. Thankfully all of the vet bills have been put off until we get money, but some of the drugs can't be bought from there.

I had a pretty hefty dose of heat and smoke (forest fires have given us a permanent air quality warning for months on end, I got to inhale that for some hours) exposure today so now I am also sick.

A new AWP is available. Some updates and current events mostly.

The cat "seems" stable somewhere between not having an actual ulcer but the eye being considerably infected still (at least, some portions are still yellow). Considering how fast Melting Ulcers can destroy eyes, this is at least a start. If past experiences and research are to be of any value, healing will be extremely time consuming. At least she is comparatively comfortable. This shit is incredibly scary, though. Maybe the saving grace is that the dye returned negative last time, indicating the ulcer was actually already gone by the time the infection set in. Only time will tell.

If it cheers you up: I found out where Lords of gametesting ripped all it's assets from:

Now after uncovering their secret source, I will create my own Castlevenia game aswell. Konami will not be able to turn down the masterpiece I have envisioned.

P.S: I am using Jdownloader now, and it is working great. The ability to resume downloads even after restarting the computer is greatly appreciated, and the files are downloaded complete. Definitly a handy program to have around, thanks for the tip.

Slightly more than two weeks have passed since the cat entered the danger zone. Two long weeks of sleepless nights and great stress. Today was the first day there has been hope.

The infection is mostly gone. Where the eye was completely blue from being clouded it is now merely moderate more red than the other and slightly cloudy - a byproduct of the forest of blood vessels. The yellow, swirly mass that covered over half the eye is now a white crescent-shape mass that covers maybe 1/4 of the eye - what will eventually transform into scar tissue. There's a small pit inside the scar that I think is from infected goo being forced out (seen it a few times before) and it's filled with blood, so I'm not too worried about it.

Somehow, somehow we are turning this thing around. Though my drop rotations will probably not alleviate for a while yet, this is the first definitive sign it is having a positive impact. Two days ago it didn't look half this good, with the dominant infected portion still uncertain. The eye is less red overall than when this all began.

During this time I have played some Blizzard dota, thanks to the short game times accommodating my hellish schedule, with some community members and a few people I know from other places. I have been preparing a league-esque html directory for videos produced from this. I will probably have this posted in a day or two. I also have some league games from a (long) while ago to go through but haven't had the time to tackle them yet.

After a long time being lost in the wilderness, a Schwa has returned. I have asked her to forge for me a compilation of hosed garbage she encountered in some of the indie trash she's played so I can cast over it. I expect amazing things, as the screenshots she's showed me have been amazing.

Watching through Lords of Game Testing 1 (on seg 6) and seeing it's AI made me think of the Witcher 3. Witcher 3's greatest flaw is it's AI which is nearly identical to Lords of Game Testing. In Witcher 3 almost all the enemy's go into auto-blocking after being hit two times, if they block 3 attacks they stagger you and hit you. Some enemy's just damage you on the third block and then hit you, gaining immunity to hit recovery.

And the way the balancing works in that game is also similar. There is no difference between a level 1 Drowner and a level 30 Drowner. The only difference is that the level 30 monster has bloated stats. Even so once you get to ca level 30 the Drowner becomes just as harmless as it was 29 levels ago. It is really only to progression lock certain areas.

On the flip side some world bosses can easily one shot you even if you are in their level range do to their massive stats. These bosses can even kill you by blocking you.

Even so the final boss in that game is one of the easiest once I have ever had to fight in any game. Even he follows largely the same rules as all the trash. On top of that he also has an arbitrary 80% damage reduction in order to make the fight longer. Even so he is not a threat for he deals next to no damage.

Withcer 3's greatest mistake was that they wanted to be more mainstream.

Well, if you want to be American, you can't have AI in your game. It has to be stat scaling and "leveling up" doing your "difficulty" for you.

I don't know much about Witcher in general, but I am really not surprised to hear any of that.

A new Coffee Hour is now available. Subjects covered include the struggle to save the cat's life, current projects/future projections, the likely withdrawl from all non-LP projects, and lots of yawning.

A Blizzard DotA HTML directory is now available which is all I have to show for this month.
