Fiction update, featuring Tales of Atheria.
This is basically throwing out an isekai scenario with a different take than Wanderers of Sorceria. Naturally Shizuka is involved and she is a lot like the one that appears in Wanderers of Sorceria. The other characters featured are Hana and Sakura from the Prism stories (hence the file name)
.
Nominally this could be seen as a 'continuation' of the Prism stories, but it's really meant to be stand alone, or at least, not a real part of it.
In a lot of ways the things I put into this story draw upon some things I've learned/experienced in the past 20 years, with a lot of thought going into things like World of Warcraft, Sword Art Online, and maybe a little Fire Emblem. I've tried to make it its own thing without really drawing upon any of those as a basis, but I think the influence is easy to see if you're familiar with any of those properties. In a sense it is a 'different' version of Wanderers of Sorceria, one that isn't constrained by Warcraft 3 or actually trying to be a video game. I don't know. It's there, it exists, and you're free to dislike it if you think it sucks.
Just an aside, I think the story of Sword Art Online kind of sucks. The thing I actually like about it is the setting. The author makes it clear that he understands the nature of video games so I think applying that to page was my main takeaway from it.
I realize that there's a huge crapload of anime that take on the whole 'trapped in another world with an overpowered skill' thing as a gimmick, and I think this isn't really one of them. If you look at the characters featured in the story you can figure out quickly what the lateral move is.
