Cinematography in sins really comes down to coincidences and chance of the camera being in the right place at the right time. It will really depend on the perception I can achieve through mixing unrelated things together. There's a lot of ideas I'd like to employ, but most of them are just not possible through the conventional means of building a scene and then pressing "action!". The exception to this would only be available if I could do the scenes through the UDK, which I cannot. That said, two major battles will be attempted in the UDK because they are impossible to do in sins. They may or may not be doable for someone of my skillset. Not doable = project dies. Doable = something will be seen that hasn't ever been seen before in my productions.

Also, as much as I enjoy the shitposting, I'm going to have to ask you gentlemen to stay civilized.

If you're gonna shitpost like you claim - at least make it look like you're actually doing it, don't be so miserable. I almost cried from pity.

dat new AWP now up

New upload string will have a bunch of league of legends content for the interested. Few days or so.

Ret starting to move forward again. Like the AWP explains, the dev series will probably be public after all.

Forcibly shifted sleep order in hopes I get some casting energy soon-ish.

A new AWP is available. This is more of a laid back cast seeing as there wasn't any big subjects to go by.

I'm chewing through old developer videos for Ret and thinking about starting a LP soon. I don't know if it will be Rondo as my first pick, but I'm hoping to get enough drive space cleared up to do a big string. Of course, with my mental instability, I've yet to manage a "big string". But we'll see. I might avoid Rondo initially simply until I get my game face back on, as my first semi-run definitely showed me I'm lacking focus right now.

I am preparing to enter more UDK work for Ret as well, and I've been working on something very important (and private) on the sidelines. So, I'm quite busy.

A new League compilation has been uploaded.

I have set the stage for the next phase of my UDK experimentation. Full speed ahead, peter!

/edit (jan 19)

Have a huge amount of footage for the next XXE. Ret 18 was produced for internal audience, featuring both UDK and sins footage. Getting this crap out of the way will set the foundation for a more lengthy recording project, like some LP's.

XXE 13 takes some time to settle you in, preparing you for what will surely be a legendary experience. The 1:19 hour brain damage injection is now available in the Compilations section. Recommend heavy drinking with consumption. You'll need it.

/edit

A new AWP is also out.

I read this exactly as I was pouring my vodka in a glass, after a long night of work in the rear end of my post office. I still have half a bottle left, which is good.

Thanks

Mucky and I have begun the task of recording the new Brood War video recast. Yesterday we sat down for 5 hours and went through a bunch of his replays. I am using OBS this time around (which is what HKS/Wibod used for their XXE footage) and it seems to be working so far. From the silly to the serious, this will be a lengthy look back on our time with the classic.

Man, that Saint's Row footage is... It seriously looks like the game was designed to be so retarded in oh so many ways... It is beyond me though to play it. I mean - I don't mind a good fun to mess around with, but that game is just... something else. A testament to ridicule.

Oh, it was definitely designed to be retarded. I think they realized how buggy the game was back in saints row 2 and made the conscious decision to never even attempt to fix the bugs and just went with it. Unlike Blizzard, who doesn't make any conscious decision to address bugs, but tries to hide them anyways.

The crashing and inability to finish the game, though. Now that's dumb. That's why we have someone actually test a game before we ship it.

You keep saying that. And yet it appears that almost nobody actually does this to any sensible extent ))).

Four new League games are on the FTP (one is a Zyra game from dec 24 if you can't find it). I have a new AWP we recorded a few days ago, but yeah, some dev stuff and the Brood War video are a higher priority atm. Which, btw, is coming along quite well. Senpai Distributor of the Locker Video and I have recorded a second batch of games, and the first batch is nearly fully edited.

It's worth noting this big thing will probably just be released as a single large video. It's a very laid back cast and kind of expected to be a longer view. I do cut some idle time/inactivity and many of the games are viewed at 2x-4x during slow points. But, there's still a lot of replays we cover. So, if you're interested, do set aside some time for it when it's ready.

If I do decide to split this into multiple parts, I will release the entire set only when they are all done.
