Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
Dates are helpful, too. Any estimate on when it and its prologue were completed and released?

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
Yeah, I'd love to check it out! Please upload it if possible. And yeah, release dates are good.
Do you think you'd ever like to make new campaigns, too? (Hint, hint

Is Temporal Distortion the one about Artanis going back in time to stop humans from reaching the Koprulu Sector? If so, I got really hooked on the story when I played it like 8 years ago. It was an interesting "What If" scenario.
That being said, I'd love to have another play-through of it

Ours is a thought-tormented age.

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
You are correct. Wow, I'm blown away that somebody played it. Before I put it back online I want to play it through to make sure there aren't any horrendous bugs. The thing is bug filled but most aren't game-breaking....I was 14 at the time and didn't have much help testing. For some minor but annoying bugs I'll probably make a text file with help or tips. Will most likely be a week or two until I am done my run-through because my head is exploding with end-of-term schoolwork at the moment.Laconius wrote:Is Temporal Distortion the one about Artanis going back in time to stop humans from reaching the Koprulu Sector?
I don't remember when I finished it, but my best guess would be probably sometime in 2000, maybe the fall because I'm pretty sure I was at 14 or 15 when I did it...which would explain some of the characters and their dialogue. =)

I remember testing it back on november 2001, and you had just released it like a few months before, I believe.

I have all the maps of "The Shadow" campaign on my computer, complete with boss spelling mistakes and cheesy dialogue. If you guys want them I can get them to you somehow.
What would be the easiest way to upload them?

Added A Starcraft Odyssey by Funkybomber (July 2006) to the list. Why didn't I add this before? I've known about it and had it downloaded for quite a while now. It is a mystery!
No, I just forgot.

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
Naiiphs, I completely missed your post and I am sorry about that.
Please do upload it, that'd be great! I suggest you upload it with Sendspace or Filefront or something.
Edit: Oh man, I just noticed you are the original creator of The Shadow. I don't know how I didn't recognise your name. That's pretty awesome, dude! Congrats on getting into PC Gamer in 2007! Did you have any other campaigns? I will add them to the list if so.

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
Hey, no problem. I miss things all the time.
Yeah, I'm the creator, had a pretty fun time fooling around on Map Edit back in the day. I made plenty of maps and ongoing campaigns back when Starcraft.org was going strong, but The Shadow is by far the most polished and crucially, finished piece. So no, sadly this is the only campaign out there made by me that's worth your time.
I think this URL will allow you to download all 12 maps for The Shadow:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/84tmo4brdr677 ... Shadow.zip
The folder that pops out of the zip is called "Te ow", goodness knows why!
If there are any problems I'll try Filefront or Sendspace or something else.
Other than that, Merry SC-mas.

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
So it looks like StratosTygo released Star Adairis: Sector Wars yesterday, complete with even more leftover .tmp files than Storm Surge and Firestorm put together! I've added it to the list.

Re: StarCraft Fan Campaign Playthroughs
Sorry about the disappearing act. I meant to go through the campaign, though not with the finest of combs to see if any of it even works. It is playable but unfortunately not very well polished. Considering my age when I made it, that's ok I guess. Anyways, I have it all slapped in a zip or can package another way possibly but I don't have or know of anywhere to upload it myself.

It's no problem, dude. For file uploading Gamefront and Sendspace are usually reliable for me. If it's a small filesize, you could send it as an attachment to my e-mail jimmahfox@hotmail.com and I can get it uploaded for you.

Sendspace deletes files after a few months or at random.
