Uhm, at this stage in the game, nuking North Korea would be doing the Chinese a favor. They're not exactly overjoyed with KJI's growing erratic thirst for power and the recent game with South Korea's kind of pushed that to the boiling point. If America obliterated North Korea, it'd free up the guilt of China having to put the bad dog down.

From a strictly economic standpoint, North Korea, South Korea and America are three customers dishing funds to China's economy. Now one's in jeopardy by the other (which has made no secret of its desire to pretty much stomp the others as well). So America kills one, saves the first and China's out just one consumer. You really think they'll be all that eager to off a second income stream themselves? Or a third?
