looks pretty generic to me tbh bill showed me something like this a while ago, not as fancy but same basic concept.

It's 3 minutes of the dude doing the exact same thing over and over again.

This is the kind of mechanic I would reserve for a general unit, not a boss with an extremely lengthy fight.

Agreed, the beginning was very cool but a change in behavior as the boss' HP drops would make it far better IMO.

I love that YS music in the background though.

It's clearly inspired by the Ys combat engine, but it's also kind of boring to watch.

It is boring to watch, though I sort of suspect it might not be bad to play. I'd try it, anyway.
