Okay, so I know I'm probably going to sound stupid but the program didn't come with a readme or anything so can anyone tell me how to use thte units and stuff you make in the game.

Re: Arsenal III help
Use datedit instead of arsenal 3. All of the fields should be fairly self-explanatory. Use export to mpq option to put the files into your custom mpq.

Re: Arsenal III help
use DATEdit cos it actually works properly, then export to MPQ and run StarCraft using the custom MPQ using MPQDraft

Encrypted Maps
Okay, Thanks for the help with that, but now I got another question. Does anyone know what you need to open those maps where when you try to edit them it says it can't? (sorry, I know I probably make no sense and sound very convoluted)

Re: Arsenal III help
Are you talking about .chk files? Just rename those to .scx or .scm and they will work, or use SCM editor 2 to open them. The other error you get is when a map is protected, I am unsure how to open those.

Re: Arsenal III help
1. DATEdit saves files as a .dat you need to use WinMPQ to change them
2. I have a problem, I saved the file, converted it to a .mpq, made it self-executing, and tried to run it but nothing was changed.

Re: Arsenal III help
Make sure inside the mpq the filename path is right. For all .dat files you need the prefix arr\ for example. Open the mpq in winmpq and make sure everything is right in there.

thank you!col.dragoon wrote: 1. DATEdit saves files as a .dat you need to use WinMPQ to change them

edit: on the options of DATedit it says single-file mpq export and multi-file mpy export. I noticed it produces an mpq but I can't understand which DAT files it is using to do this

Re: Arsenal III help
It uses all of them, usually your only using 1 to 2, maybe 3 max .dat files at a time. I find it easier to save them individually and import them all at once from a folder.
