You won't need a healer or support class if enough potions or special items (Aura potions or something like that) can do the job for them.

If they really wanted, they could do something like the Paladin's Holy Light spell in Warcraft III, where it can heal allies or hurt monsters.

I was thinking of some kind of ranged weapon class too. The current dynamics are:
Monk - Fast, Fragile, Melee
Barbarian - Slow, Tank, Melee
Wizard - Long-range, DPS, Caster
Witch Doctor - Short-range, Debuff/DoT, Caster
There's a lack of ranged weapon support for the current classes. You have 3 classes that are short-range/melee oriented, with only the Wizard being a long-range class. However, the Wizard uses mana instead of weaponry to do damage.
For possible class ideas, it's best to eliminate some of the choices:
Monk = Paladin, Rogue/Assassin - Holy Warrior. The Monk replaces the Paladin with a more agility based kit of Holy power. Also makes Rogue or Assassin style class redundant.
Barbarian = Warrior - Barb fills in any kind of dynamic of a warrior/melee class.
Wizard = Caster - With the way the Wizard is built, there's no need for another caster fitting that kit.
Witch Doctor = Necromancer, Shaman - The Witch Doctor fits all the debuff mechanics of the Necromancer (undead zombies, poison, DoT, debuff, etc.)
What's left? Well in Diablo 2, there was the Amazon; a ranged weapon class utilizing bows and javelins. There was also the Druid which focused on summoning "pets" and shapeshifting to Tanking/DPS roles.
I believe the final class will be a ranged weapons class or a summoning/shapeshifter hybrid. Possibly a "Ranger" or "Summoner" class.

I have seen the Desler. I have tasted of his milk and honey.

I didn't want to say the WoW Hunter, Hercanic, hehe. But yes, it is very likely for Blizzard to release some kind of Ranger class that would fulfill both the role of ranged-weapons and possibly a "pet" much like the WoW Hunter. It would be an interesting dynamic to the game for players who want to attack from a distance and control an AI pet that melees the enemy.

That's kind of how I'd use my Necro... hide behind the Golem and throw Bone Spears and use Corpse Explosion and such. That was before they totally nerfed the Necro's Iron Maiden + Blood Golem technique, though. My favorite move.
