      The original STF had its own community known as Bootcamp. It enjoyed much success and endured for many years. Unfortunately, after heavy modification, it fell behind on security updates.

      A script kiddie managed to abuse a flaw and made himself administrator. He then proceeded to delete all the posts in each forum. I logged in while this person was in the middle of their spree. Upon seeing the admin-color of his name and the missing posts, I immediately deleted the offender's account and locked down the forum.

      Restoration wasn't immediately sought because half the forum was still intact, and the last backup was a few months old. Hoping to find a way to combine the backup with the existing forum proved fruitless. Then, the host of CampaignCreations at the time, and therefore STF, Recon Networks, shut down permanently without warning. All files were lost.

      Without the worry of maintaining the current half of the forum, an attempt to reboot the forum with the backup was made. It was then discovered that the backup was incomplete, and would not process. Many of the numerous backups were in such a condition. Only one backup that was well over a year old seemed complete, but it too would not process.

      After several years offline, we have incorportated STF's Bootcamp community into the existing Campaign Creations forum. We hope old fans will enjoy the nostalgia, and that new fans will discover the magic that gave life to the original Bootcamp.
