15 minutes ;) ... Just. Like. Diablo 3. (Except here they TELL you you have 15 minutes, not sit you down and say 'explore')

Wait, so I'm confused what all the problems with the mineral and gas stuff is.  Someone explain it to me.  People are acting like something got messed up, so what is it?  That there's two geysers?  That doesn't seem like a big deal.  Who cares.

Considering that SC1's AI is often considered "Difficult" I find that information not very comforting at all.

Well, Blizzard recommends 15 SCVs on minerals, and 3 on each geyser. You start with two geysers, each one can be drained for 200 (I believe) for it has to cool down for about a minute, at which point the game keeps playing a loud siren saying it's cooling down), while the geyser itself has an overall amount of gas that can be taken out.

So, SCVs on minerals is about the same... now there's just two geysers.  Is that a big deal?

The geysers will randomly shut off and constantly force you to move your workers around. Very annoying.

they do not RANDOMLY shut off. They have a set amount of Vespene, once all the vespene is mined out the gas shuts down for like a minute, your workers cannot use it. In a minute, the vespene will be back.

People are complaining because now they'l actuallyl have to pay attention to their economy.
Now with 50% more lol, 50% more win, and 100% phlail.

Well... they'll shut off, but they'll do it for everybody, so it's not like it's going to affect anyone... It's just going to be the normal way of gathering gas in SC2.

May as well be as random with how retarded the mechanic is. There is no reason to have that in. It's just a nuisence.

Dear WB:
Gameplay is a series of interesting choices. If players would always make the same decision, though, have the AI handle it. Otherwise, the action is a needless chore and does not contribute anything fun to the gameplay.

They already did that. It used to be that you had to manually drill deeper (this was the mechanic at the WWI) when the vespene ran out, they changed it to be automatic.

So basically they should revert the gas back to vanilla.

blizzard needs to focus on making gameplay more fun and by fun we mean the action. I mean honestly, who is going to be interested in micro-managing silly details like this? how does that make it more fun?

By the way, is it just me or has it been over half a year since blizzard showed us a new unit on SC2.com?

I have a feeling they're going to release something new on their site soon, it's been far too long.

The delay in new units may also be due to a site redesign.  After all, they may wish to now promote it as 'Wings of Liberty'.  I suspect we'll see a large update in the near future that changes a few of the design aspects of the site.
