I basically quit on my first 60 because I wasn't part of a raiding guild, but a casual guild, and no one wanted to go participate in raids and I wasn't very much interested either. I went into one raid, forgot what it was, and it was boring to sit through the chatter of 39 others.

I only raid twice a week and it's very possible to do a lot of things on two nights. To other raiding guilds we're considered 'casual' and yet we're still better than the majority of raiding guilds on my server.

I raided 5 days a week and killed Illidan, waste of time not worth it. If you can get away with raiding 2 days a week in a good guild then consider yourself lucky.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know Blizzard has publicly dismissed this idea because of time and personnel constraints, however, it would be great if they could go back to their old content and revamp everything.  There are several zones in Azeroth that could seriously use a makeover and that the lore could be expanded upon.  For example, some of the earlier 40 man raids like Molten Core and Blackwing Lair can be adjusted to 10-15 man content.  There's no reason for those areas to turn into ghost towns, especially since there were a lot of quest chains that followed the Blackwing Lair storyline.

I'm sure Illidan could be adjusted too, again.  They should make him more interactive with the player as soon as the player enters Outland just as they are doing with Arthas in the new one.  Wrath of the Lich King is going to be their finest work yet.
I have seen the Desler.  I have tasted of his milk and honey.

I thought they made all 40 man raids into 10-15? Well, no sense in going back yet, then.

None of the old raids were changed and Naxxramas was the only exception because it actually has a place in Northrend, new design philosophies only get applied to the next expansion

Do you have any idea how much shit it would cause if every raid instance was revamped every time something new came out? you obviously are not very familiar with the progression ladder or raiding. not only is it a bad idea economically but anyone trying to lead and organize raids would just be cutting themselves and sure as hell would NOT make raiding more fun or take less time for gear because hey its a good idea to have the gear you need spread around raids like 5 man content amirite? if for some reason you and several others are inclined to raid for nothing but seeing bosses all the old content is going to be 10+ because nothing scales up back there for 20 levels.

Not too long ago on my server there was a PUG Naxxramas (the reality being someone on the server needed a Kel'thuzad kill in order to finish Atiesh), and it took two days just to clear the entire thing out. On average we ran with 25 people at a time, but on day 2 when we finally pulled Kel'thuzad we had around 35 before we finally figured out how to kill him (although I suspect the number only got bigger because people wanted to get in on the Kel'thuzad kill).

I'm telling you, Kel'thuzad is a very well-tuned boss; if his life and damage scaled to L.70 players he'd still be a monster.  His Mind Control is so vicious as it seems to always pick out the people doing the most damage, and consequently those people end up going on a rampage on Kel'thuzad's behalf (not to mention the source of the majority of the wipes-- THIS was the ability that scaled well to player level).

You missed the part where Kel'thuzad's Mind Control increases damage done by the MC target by 200%. With the gear Lv.70s run around in you can easily one-shot people every time it happens.
