Just go see it already, Desler.  You're denying yourself pleasure every day you wait.
I have seen the Desler.  I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Just seen it, it was pretty good. The plot (especially the ending) and Heath Ledger as the Joker made it well worth it. The ending far surpassed by expectations and is definitely one of the best I've ever seen. To be honest I didn't think that highly of the movie until the last 20 minutes or so, but everything tied up sooo well in the ending.

Movie of the year for sure, and definitely on my top 10 list.

I've seen it, I just want to see it on IMAX.  The theater was sold out, but I did manage to get Monday showtimes.

I remember seeing a nature film in a science theater, I think thats what IMAX is like.  It was like, all around us.

IMAX was intended for nature stuff yes- All that bore. Dark Knight is not the first film to use IMAX, but one of the first to use a large amount. Would of been great if it was the entire film.

Lavvz you mentioned video and audio being superior in a IMAX theater, but isn't IMAX just a video standard not a audio one?

Yes, but at least here, in Southern California there was so many complaints from old timers and parents whining about their childrens' ears that they turned the volume down to a "comfortable" level. It's.. Loud, sure.. But Imax is 2.5x that volume. I could my body shaking to the vibration of the truck flipping over. In addition, when I was outside waiting, I heard any explosions clearly outside. Just a better experience all around. AND with the Diablo 1 Dungeon track.. Priceless.

I have to say, the IMAX experience really disappointed.  I liked seeing the movie again but it wasn't all THAT great.  The theater we went to see it first had a much better sound system.  Sure the nice tall screen was nice, but my roommates always insist on sitting in the first few rows anyways, so there wasn't much of a difference.

First few rows? Way to break necks. I guess it depends on the sound system as well. All I know is I will always love ours cause it plays Diablo 1's Dungeon music.

Not that close, but close enough.  Ah well, that regular theatre close to my house is pretty nice anyways.  Its in I guess you could call a 'rich' area of town, so premium all the way as far as sound and picture goes.  It's like super-HD, crisp.  Thats why I really wasn't impressed by the IMAX.  I guess I bought into the hype all the way to the ticket booth.  =)  But it was nice to finally see what all the hubbub was about.
