well, i feel aspired to rant & type.
if you ever wondered to think of my...bizzare personality, i'm gonna rant on the matter to explain further about myself, how has social life affected me from about age 5 or 6, until, well, now.
im ranting on this matter due to how society, and social workers treat occasionly people as myself. i am NOT writing this to get pity, i dont need such feed back, nor would i be grateful by such feedback, i write this so you should understand, and acknowledge me and how i deal, and dealt with such matters.
further more, i write this due the fact you earned my trust- for now
this thing that is inside of me,part of me, is a hybrid of a syndrome/desease known as asperger, and some of it's effects, pretty much taken it's effects on me:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspurger
in other words, as written at wiki, and other places it is one of the types of autism, but, and as some social workers called it : a smart retard.
flattering title, eh?
as well as something known as ADD/ADHD
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention- ... y_Disorder
i guess both cases can explain my...odd passion towards lego, meh.
the last thing, well, is part of adhd, though feels seperated, is keen ears.
on one hand, my hearing is too sensitive, hence, if a fly starts to buzz around, i lose concentration at any work type [home work, studies,,jobs eventually], and, as you can guess, trucks, loud ambulances, etc,, arent quite a pleasant thing either, when working, and such noises erupt suddenly.
to be honest, i am clueless how i managed to pass those 12 years of studies with proper...helping methods.
i mean, i always wondered if it was my fault, or, things i did or said, caused such harsh neglection, it frustrated me, obviously.
well, at about age 12 or so i saw a psychologist,, that person was kind and all, but it obviously did not solve the prob [which was unclear back then].
afterwards, me and my youngest brother sibling, were taken for examination, to see the reasons of what ever behaviour patterns.
my sibling, has it all, hyperactivity, disorder, and listening probs, i lack the hyper part, meh.
then- the medications begun, and, none proved of use to me, ofc, whether i wanted or not, since i was below age 18, my opinion did not count.
well, i went on and on, and at jr. high it was worse, mainly due the fact the teachers lacked to explain the basics [math teacher was a total disaster mostly, stuck with that person 3 years straight, and both grades and confidence decreased].
the pills btw, were reccomended by psychatrists [each a bigger ignorant fool, whom was not clever enough to stem out/counter either issue, but did provide loads of so called anti depression pills- made me more depressed for taking them, and not solving the prob].
well, the taking pills part is my main rant.
and here comes the result of the various syndromes, with or without regard to branches i chose:
1) i'm trying not to be used up by others, by trying to earn their trust, but at most cases, when i hear the twin words "trust me", im having a real hard time to put the slightest trust :mostly social workers, whom decided to decrease my mental and physical strength on the papers, for unsuitble jobs, that, imo, if i continued, i could end up as what they described at the papers- i will never forgive, or tolerate such abusive people.
2) maybe this is like what i had with lego, but, i tend to have at most cases, a good chemistry with children, perhapse for occasionly being child like, yet add is described as some 1 whom lacks social things.
well, i guess my verb vocabulary is ok,,socially..unsure.
last thing; a side effect that i had frm those things, oe inherited regardless, is an early reckless conclusion of things i hear or see, whether on g chat, or other wise, sorry if i eraupted like a trigger happy...ot acted with outbursts that were not in place.
this is my big rant, reply or not, up tp you, i had to blow steam off .

So what is your current position? You're obviously looking for a job, are you finding it hard to locate one? Or you being specific on the time you want, or open to any? I can't say I'm very familiar with the term social workers, as in I don't quite know who that targets exactly, care to elaborate?

Re: ADD
I'd like to comment, but I don't really understand the reality of Aspergers all that well. My only reference is "L" from Death Note (the original "L") had it, although an anime series is a far cry from a real reference. Having the mind inflicted with a condition makes it very hard for me to make recommendations to remedy your situation (even though you are not seeking solutions according to your rant), as I understand that the things -I- would normally do might not work for you. The only thing I can suggest is to find your strengths and try to work with them exclusively in order to find solutions to your problems. Maybe you can read how other people cope with Aspergers online and learn from their experience.
I can at least acknowledge your situation and agree with your rant. Modern medicine just doesn't know how to handle these types of syndromes yet, nor does society understand the depth of such conditions.

Re: ADD
Social worker varies in meaning depending on what situation the person is in. In the conventional and traditional sense of the mentally handicapped being in a home the social worker would just be a person who works there or in rare cases a trained professional. Now a days social workers usually come from research societies and support groups that are designed to help those suffering from the disease.Lavarinth wrote: So what is your current position? or mess up the mental and pshysical situation even further, like in my case wib. :s
lav: well, the odds to find a suitble job that isnt too noisy,, are very low, imo, due the advance in technology.
what i used to think as a job, well as you voiced hikaru : time to earn my pay.
heh, quite hard to findd any job, really, half the paper wanted adds or on the net are fakes,by complete liars or otherwise, the other half requires after army service person... i didnt serve the army, and it might jeopodize the odds ...highly.
i tried to imagine myself as atutor, or a...kid's gaurdian/big brother type of thing in kinder garden.
i know i have the click with them, though ironnicly, noises tend to make me go hay wire.

Re: ADD
Desler, how could you find L to have aspergers? His speeches and choices of word and calculations of possible outcomes as well as taking into account various scenarios and/or outcomes cries far from aspergers to me.. If you're talking his physical-self and choosing to exclude himself from society, there was a scene where he played tennis and claimed to be champion somewhere. But this is all another subject- And that is the ONLY Anime I have ever seen.Desler wrote: I'd like to comment, but I don't really understand the reality of Aspergers all that well. But maudidib, the rest that Desler said I'd agree. You state you want to tutor- Reach towards it. It's a realistic goal and requires nothing other than the proven ability to teach what you would like to tutor. Your excellent communication with children would help to bond, and tutoring can range from one on one to multiple children. And as well as depending on the age, would lead to more quieter atmospheres.

Re: ADD
that i have considered, but there is a bit of...cross road situation i am at:
on one hand, if i want to reach tutoring you need a certain avarage grade [it was 85, which i have, now it is 90] after finishing high school
on the other hand, [translated from hebrew tutors] the psychomatric course, based upon knowledge and some skills, say that, as example you can reach/direct yourself into teaching, or tutoring if you get a score of 650 points and beyond.
at any rate, in here, the course is a must before university, regardless of branch i desire to walk at.
the course, is both in a way my leap of faith, and a..mini pit, heh, based upon how hard i study for it, and the reward [score amount] that i'll earn.
in my opinion, i find it a aaste of time, since some mini subjects ithin, have no benefit in the long run, such as, "liars and truth tellers".

Re: ADD
It was well debated in the Death Note community Lavarinth. His mannerisms and behavior seemed to imply that he had it, although it was never stated in the show.

Well, all I can really admit to is- I strove to do what I wanted to do in two situations: My degree and online. I accomplished both, after a long tough trail.. But it's possible. Ah- I entered Death Note far too late to be involved in a community for it. I could see people pointing out the thoughts that he has a disorder though, simply be his stances and eye-contact, but I fail to see it for some reason.Desler wrote: It was well debated in the Death Note community Lavarinth. You realise the Aspergers is a high functioning form of Autism right? Einstein was thought to have had Aspergers and that speaks for itself in a way. One of the main ways people diagnose Aspergers and Autism in general is how people react to situations, generally they like to have activities and events structured, and preplanning or calculating what they would say or do is very common in people with both Autism and Aspergers. Also people with Aspergers tend to be very intelligent and have a highly developed vocabulary and possibly having specialised skills in some areas, but socially they fail hard.Lavarinth wrote:Desler, how could you find L to have aspergers?
