Re: StarCraft: Vile Egression
After some re-observation, I concluded that the first boss score sounded too "happy." Hence, I instituted something more "Vile."

You should use "Journey To Kalimdor" off of Blizzard's "Echoes of War" soundtrack. ;o

Re: StarCraft: Vile Egression
I scribble up terrain w/ X-Tra editor, along with whatever other work I can stuff into a map. After all that's done, I send it off to be manhandled by SCMDraft.Sodon wrote: Which editor are you using?

I guess I'm just trying to circumvent having to copy triggers one at a time, but SCM Draft's text trigger editor doesn't seem to work. Is why I asked

Yeah, the text trigger editor is apparently wrought with bugs. I suggest using the classic version.
Also, if you're looking to copy triggers, can't you use the Save Triggers command and re-load them into a different map? (preferably through X-tra Editor)

It does work. Are you sure you're clicking the little check mark button in the left corner and not just exiting the window?Sodon wrote: I guess I'm just trying to circumvent having to copy triggers one at a time, but SCM Draft's text trigger editor doesn't seem to work. Is why I asked

For a boss theme, I wouldn't choose that music track... It's too quiet. It doesn't fit with that boss battle, believe me.Dem0nS1ayer wrote: You should use "Journey To Kalimdor" off of Blizzard's "Echoes of War" soundtrack. ;o
I'd rather choose this one (from 0:46 to 2:08), just like Meta used "The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah" for his FK campaign (check out the last battle against Krassius, in mission 13b).

Seems a lot of stuff is being used from previous campaigns. Would one call that original?

Re: StarCraft: Vile Egression
The music track I've posted is NOT used from previous campaigns. Their creators, however, are the same who made "The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah", used by Meta in Flame Knives. I only used it as an example to announce the track, not to tell Laconius to use it as a track for his campaign...Lavarinth wrote: Seems a lot of stuff is being used from previous campaigns. That won't help if I need them copied through the same map. I figured it out though, don't worry about it.Laconius wrote: Also, if you're looking to copy triggers, can't you use the Save Triggers command and re-load them into a different map? (preferably through X-tra Editor)

Re: StarCraft: Vile Egression
I bet you 50% of the stuff people used nowadays is stuff I posted at one time or another. Therion, Dead Can Dance, Trailer music ect in many of Maplantis/SEN's mods are all from me, and I bet a lot of campaigns have silently jacked stuff from me, too.
Not that I really blame them. I consider finding the perfect music an art.

Re: StarCraft: Vile Egression
How can you sit there with a straight face and call that jacking and stealing. Therion on itself is quite well known and you tend to have posting sprees where you post zounds of music. Then you also tell people to use it. And biggest factor: You don't even own that music, what gives you the right anyway?
Now the stuff you composed, ok yeah I'll give you that.
