Campaign Creations

There is a error message when you try to run a selfrunning sempq or firegraft archive. Mainly with the download version of SC/BW of your Battle.net 2.0 account, but also CD versions of the game. The message reads as follows:

Assertion Failed Expression: ProgramHandle ! = NULL Line:200

Are there any known possibilities to fix this?

To be more specific:

The message occurs at Windows 10. A user reported that problem to me, which I had also some time ago.

My OS is Win 7.
- Using the CD version of SC/BW: Firegraft.exe runs fine.
- Using the said download version of SC/BW from Battle.net 2.0: Firegraft.exe gives that error message.

Users OS is Win 10.
- Using CD version of SC/BW: Firegraft.exe gives that error message.
- Using the said download version of SC/BW from Battle.net 2.0: SC won't even start... :ermm:

First he tried to start the Firegraft.exe with the download version. Didn't start. As mentioned...
So I gave him the advice to use the CD version of the game, because it works fine for me. He did so, but reported shortly after to encounter that error message which I got only with that download version from Battle.net 2.0.

So I wonder if somebody also stumbled upon this error message and knows maybe a solution for that problem.
(God, I hope DiscipleofAdun will update Firegraft once again.)

Hmm, a lot of this likely has to do with security features in Windows 10? Just throwing words out, really, but an alternative option may be to use Virtual Machine to solve such issues, you can even install Windows 98 and use that instead!

I think the digital download exe is different and may have different addresses and therefore set firegraft all afuck. A nerdy one can correct me if they know otherwise. Doesn't really solve why it doesn't work with CD... try turning off UAC or whatever it is?

My first thought was it was the download version, but seems he tried both download and CD install.
