Hey all

Post by fromtheshadows » Sat Mar 12, 2016 8:47 am

Hey, I just discovered this site a few weeks ago, and have had a blast downloading and playing a bunch of these old campaigns. I have played brood war since I was like 6 years old and have played the vanilla campaigns like 8 or 9 times now, so this has opened up a whole new world for me. I have especially enjoyed the VeteCampaigns (VerVanoSiege and Cerebrate Hunters), the Bob levels, and Palinchron Concordance. Would you guys recommend others that are less about RPG elements and more about base building and survival? I like to think my micro is good  but i'm pretty bad at RPG levels. Thanks guys, and thank you to the creators of those campaigns and to the admins of this site!

Welcome to the forum, fromtheshadows.

First of all I'd recommend checking out my campaign listing - it contains all known (English) fan campaigns for StarCraft as of right now. There's almost two decades worth of projects there.

For campaigns focusing mostly on Build and Destroy elements, um... I'll have to refresh my memory a little bit in order to give you a comprehensive listing, but the following campaigns are all a diverse group of projects that have a lot of B&D elements, as far as I remember:

The Antioch Chronicles
Legacy of the Confederation and its sequel
Vision of the Future series, I think
StarCraft: Survivors
Ascension of Duran and its sequel
Doodan Episode 0 - Loyalty, Doodad Episode 1 - Joining Forces, Doodan Episode 2 - The Infestation, Doodan Episode 3 - Retirement's End, Doodan Episode 4 - The Saga of Doodan
Tales of Halcyon

Off the top of my head that's all I got right now, but like I said, take a peek through the campaign listing. There are plenty of hidden gems in there.

If you're ever interested in making your own campaign, I'm sure people here would be interested.
