Terran Dominion Campaign

First of all, before I begin, I want to give some bad news and good news.

The bad news is, I'm quitting on Project State of War for SC I and I'm thinking about moving it to SC II when it comes out.  Story was already getting boring in my opinion, I have a serious problem of lazyness and with the deadline of before SC II coming out, I don't think I'll manage to make it in time.

The good news is, I'm not leaving the SC I map/mod-making universe without making a final gift to SC I.  It's a non-modded campaign, with custom heroes, 10 missions and a brand new storyline focusing exclusively on the most infamous of all governments in the Koprulu Sector:  The Terran Dominion.

However, don't think it's not relationed with SC, because it is.  Actually, I've spent hours researching all of the SC story (from it's roots to the end of the Brood War and the Dominion's rumored ascension to power theories of SC II).  As a result, since I don't know how the Dominion has risen again, so it's a fictional bridge between SC I and SC II.

Anyway, forumers and admins, here I give you:

DOMINION: THE KOPRULU CRISIS

RESUMED STORY:
With the Dominion beaten and battered in the Brood War, Emperor Arcturus Mengsk and his new commanders, Horace Warfield and Viktor Gaskaville, begin to plan the re-construction of the former Terran empire.

However, a new threat rises in the horizon.  It threatens to destroy the only faction that united most of the Terran factions, and for that it will use any means, even if it includes threatning the lives and freedoms of others species.  Freedom is it's cause.

The Koprulu Liberation Front had arrived.
SCREENSHOTS:

So its the story on how the Dominion became the dominant terran power in sc2? Thats cool and could be done, but it kinda goes to them since the other starcraft factions are either pretty much destroyed (lol ued/confeds), focused on resource gathering (kel-morian combine), technology (umoj), or too small to currently make a difference (raynor's raiders). It sounds like the Dominion would be playing more of a diplomat rather than a superior fighting force, and it has been mentioned that Mesk has lots of propaganda, the media most likely turned him out to be a rebel againt the ued and later on urging terrans to unite once again under his banner to fight the zerg.

Nnnnnnnot quite.  Actually I'm using some of my ideas to make the campaign (a new rebel faction, some diplo problems, a traitor from within [as is predictable], and getting involved in a bigger scheme that only the Protoss know).  ::) ::)

BTW, Mantidz, what about your campaign (Ascension of Duran)?

Looks interesting. Is it going to be voiced?

No, not this one.  However, I'm planning for another, different campaign once this one is finished, and THAT one will be decided if it will be voiced or not.

Why's that, if you mind me asking?

It uses several characters, like Mengsk (From SC I), Warfield (from SC: Ghost), Angel (from SC: Ghost) and Gaskaville (From SC II);

Well, here's the campaign.  At least, most of it.

For those of you who don't know, "Dominion: The Koprulu Crisis" is the kick-start campaign who introduces the player to the initial story of the "Trial By Fire" series.

While we await for the completion of Trial By Fire's Episode I, here's the campaign to get you online with some plot spoilers that you might not understand while playing the contest campaign.

Have Fun.

**Disregard:  I found Jacqueline Angel on the starcraft wikia.  Died in the Trinidad shelling.

I believe Starcraft Ghost is Nova, not Angel.

Angel is the equivalent of Nova (or rather Nova is the equivalent of Angel since LotC Fallen Angel came first) in the LotC series as Ambrosia.

**If there is another Angel in SC: Ghost, then please disregard.
Jacqueline Angel, according to SCG lore, was supposed to be the head behind the KLF.  She's also the heir to the owner of an influent trading company.  There's nothing wrong with the comment.  ;)

BTW, what about the campaign?  Did you like it?

It will take me a bit to play through seven maps good sir.  I'll provide feedback after I complete them.

Interesting game. I did notice a few bugs, though:

1. In the Protoss/Human vs Zerg/Human map, after Angel finishes talking, the game doesn't leave pause mode. I had to press escape to continue playing.

2. In Map 7, it takes a long time for the Dominion to destroy part of the base, and they leave half their units behind. This means I watched 25 minutes of a few units attacking a huge base, and when the units were destroyed, the backups didn't move.

Good luck with the rest!

(PS, I notice this hasn't been active for a while - sorry for bumping, first of all, and second, have you made any progress since your last post here?)
