BIO:  Born on Terra Prime (earth), Janine went to Officer's Training School as soon as she was able. Upon graduation, she was assigned to the Dionysus Colony's (Planet Aeterna 6AX-L) Security Platoon. Due to the colony's status as a forgotten backwater supply post, the inhabitants and later most of the Confederation nicknamed it "The Axle."

When the Zerg attacked Dionysus on 12/17/2500, Janine oversaw the evacuation of civilians on the colony but she herself was critically wounded by Zerg Hydralisks before she could board the last evacuation transport. She had acid burns over 97% of her body and had been impaled through one lung as well as suffering substantial blood loss. Despite every medical professional's assessment she should have been killed, she survived.

After entering a coma for four months Janine's body completely regenerated itself. Medical examiners could provide no explanation for this physiological recovery. Janine's scars disappeared, her organs regained full functionality, and her adrenal system spiked. Lab Techs noticed changes in her DNA during routine bloodwork which became more pronounced over the four month period of the coma. Before they could examine her further, Janine awoke from her coma, attacked several hospital security guards, hacked into the UMC database through the hospital's extranet, and took with her the full names and locations of the pilots of the evacuation transports 'she' claimed left her behind to die on Dionysus.

Janine hunted down and murdered the four pilots and caused extensive collateral damage in the process. When local law enforcement apprehended her after an exhausting manhunt, Janine was charged with treason for the 1st degree murder of Confederation officers and 2nd degree murder of seven civilians and was sentenced to death by lethal injection. The sentence was carried out on 4/3/2503 once Janine exhausted the appeals process.

She left behind no parents but she did have a sister, Christine Marshall, who herself left the UMC after fulfilling the mandatory two years of service only to rejoin when Remus' Renegades (Pirates) attacked a pre-TAP grade school. Janine's last words prior to the execution were, "Christine, I was and always will be the better soldier."
