This is the Upgrades tab of the upgrade editor. The item in this editor is the upgrade. Each upgrade can be selected from the Upgrade list and then edited by changing the fields to the right and to the bottom of the list. I have delineated each field with a different red number. An explanation of each field is below:

- Time Cost: Base [number box]: This value determines how long the upgrade takes the research (for the first time). The higher the value, the longer it takes.

- Time Cost: Factor [number box]: This value determines how much time to add to the total research time for each additional upgrade of this type. For example, Terran Infantry Armor has a Time Cost of Base 4000 and a Factor of 480. This means, the second time you upgrade this (to level 2), it will have a total time cost of 4000 + 480 = 4480. The third time you upgrade this it will have a total time cost of 4000 + 480 + 480 = 4960. Etc.

- Gas Cost: Base [number box]: This value determines how much vespene gas the upgrade costs (for the first time).

- Gas Cost: Factor [number box]: This value determines how much vespene gas cost to add to the total gas cost for each additional upgrade of this type. For example, Terran Infantry Armor has a Gas Cost of Base 100 and a Factor of 75. This means, the second time you upgrade this (to level 2), it will have a total gas cost of 100 + 75 = 175. The third time you upgrade this it will have a total gas cost of 100 + 75 + 75 = 250. Etc.

- Mineral Cost: Base [number box]: This value determines how much minerals the upgrade costs (for the first time).

- Mineral Cost: Factor [number box]: This value determines how much minerals cost to add to the total gas cost for each additional upgrade of this type. For example, Terran Infantry Armor has a Mineral Cost of Base 100 and a Factor of 75. This means, the second time you upgrade this (to level 2), it will have a total mineral cost of 100 + 75 = 175. The third time you upgrade this it will have a total mineral cost of 100 + 75 + 75 = 250. Etc.

- Broodwar upgrade [check box]: Check this box if you want the upgrade to be a Broodwar only upgrade. That means, you can only research that upgrade if you are playing Broodwar (and not in normal Starcraft).

- Label [pull down list]: This value determines what the upgrade will be called when you highlight it in the building in which it is researched. You can select from any name from the list for any upgrade (though it will not change what the upgrade actually does, just what is says).

- Icon [pull down menu]: This value determines what icon will be shown for the upgrade in the building in which it is researched. For example, The Terran Infantry Armor Icon is a little armor vest. You can select from any icon from the list for any upgrade (though it will not change what the upgrade actually does, just what it looks like).

- # of Upgrades [number box]: This value determines how many "times" you can research the upgrade. For example, you can research normal armor and weapons upgrades 3 times (up to level 3). By changing this, you change the maximum level the upgrade can be at. For example, changing Terran Infantry Armor to have a value of 10 here will allow you to upgrade Terran Infantry Armor 10 times, all the way up to level 10 (each time adding a little more armor to your infantry units).

- Race [pull down menu]: This value determines which race the upgrade is associated with. For example, Terran Infantry Armor is associated with Terrans.
