This upcoming March will be Starcraft's 20th anniversary. Meaning anyone who was old enough to really remember its launch will be in or near their 30's. Ya'll are old now!
The first time I ever heard about Starcraft was in 8th grade, just after math class when lunch began. A bunch of kids crowded around one student's desk as he flipped through the game manual. This kid already had a full beard at his age, and hair down to his shoulders. I remember him talking about the Zerg and my first thought was, "Zerg? What a silly name."

Re: March 31st and Starcraft
I was introduced to by chance when I was in a temporary foster home visiting their parents.
I never was able to tell them that encounter basically defined the rest of my life and I'd definitely be dead if it wasn't for it.

Re: March 31st and Starcraft
I first learned about it on my Warcraft II CD.
When Zerg were the Zurg.
A Sci-fi version of Warcraft II, count me in.
