Scientists Discover Solar Powered Hornets

"The oriental hornet is more active during the day, and tends to become even more active as the temperature rises. And now scientists have discovered the reason: the hornets are solar powered. It turns out that the distinctive yellow stripe on the hornet's abdomen is actually full of tiny protrusions that gather sunlight and harness it for energy. The insect also features a special pigment, called xanthopterin, that helps with the process."

At least it's not straight out photosynthesis. That would be pretty scary.

But that Solo Axis update can't occur in 056D 01H 52M 05S 650MS (as of the time of this posting), as it would appear something else might be coming up. Isn't that right, Lav?

Hornets are actually very superpowered, more than lots of people realize. 30 hornets can (and do) invade a beehive, face off against the 10,000 bees, and pretty much kill them all while making off with their young.

Only works for certain species of bee. All eurobees and ameribees would be fuck'dbees.

Makes me wonder how long it would be before some brilliant nutball figures out how to make solar-power laser drills (or laser cannons, even).
