Re: The New Forum
I personally like the new forum, but when images (mostly avatar and sigs) grow more abundant it looks kinda spammy and hurts my eyes.

Re: The New Forum
The forum looks great! It really looks futuristic. Yeah, some things require getting use to, like the position of the avatars, but on the most part, it's really good.

Re: The New Forum
The avatars should be on the left side; that is the convention. You're making it needlessly confusing and unintuitive by breaking with it. When I read a post I want to see who's writing it first, and when it's on the left I take it all in naturally in one swoop. Whereas now I have to break the flow of things, look to the right to see who's writing what, then back over to the post. Repeat that for every post and it gets tiresome.

I agree. They need to be on the left.

Re: The New Forum
The forum needs to NOT autosubscribe to everything I reply to. I can't seem to find the option...

Re: The New Forum
I've been working with this layout for over a year and never had an issue like that- Though I've heard rumors nearly a year ago that the scanlines were outputting awkwardly for the iPad (yes I used nearly a year ago and iPad together). You are using a mac yes?AA7Dragoon wrote:Does the background fluctuate visually for anyone else too? I agree with putting things back on the left side. Our language has us process words from left to right. When I read posts, I like to see who is posting it first, then what they wrote.
I'm not sure what you're asking? Subforum and huge gap? Centered names where?FireFlash wrote:On that note, could you have the namesof the forums (like "Starcraft II Discussion") be centered vertically? It looks out of place when # of posts and whatnot are centered on the right side. Also, forums with subforums have a huge gap between the name and the subforum links that also looks weirdLavarinth wrote:Still sorting positioning of things.

Xenon, same question to you, what is your OS and browser?Xenon wrote:AA7Dragoon wrote:Does the background fluctuate visually for anyone else too? To my knowledge if you uncheck the option once on "Notify me when a reply is posted" in the reply page, it will no longer auto-subscribe. I cannot locate a default "off" setting.IskatuMesk wrote:The forum needs to NOT autosubscribe to everything I reply to. I can't seem to find the option...

Re: The New Forum
The background will shimmer if i'm scrolling down but thats pretty much standard for an LCD with alternating lines, still its fine.

Re: The New Forum
Btw the avatars on the right side is actually default in phpbb3's default styles.
