aim protocol change

AIM has finally changed their protocol again and broke support for some older clients like Miranda and, in my case, an old version of trillian. I refuse to update to the ugly new trillian so I guess I'm stuck waiting for miranda NG to get a plugin for the updated protocol. That shouldn't hopefully take too long since apparently pidgin supports it and the source exists, but who knows.

If you are one of the vast majority of people I talked to only on aim and want to get a hold of me the best way is probably through vent or steam or e-mail (malkor at gmail dot com). Particularly emus, schwas or other individuals working with certain project stuff.

I have no alternative solution for file transfers at all until aim is back.

dude thank god there's a thread for this, my trillian is KO, and all the new messengers have that stupid "user friendly interface" style with the friendly large text and rounded corners and shit. does anyone, aka shadowflare maybe, have a backdoored version that still works? I mean I guess i'll eventally get a new one, but i like my trillian, ive got like 10 years of logs and shit in there. pls 2 halp?

It is probably dead for good. We tried to use pidgin but file transfers don't work on it so I don't know. And yeah, all of the other clients are ugly as shit.

Could try setting up a Discord channel. File transfers only go up to 8mb, though.
