Bioshock

Post by Whiplash! »

I got it recently, although theres a problem with shader 2 models and some older graphics cards (aka I have to run a custom mod to get the game to run, and with meh graphics) it still is a really fun game. I like the whole original plot and all the cool power ups and weapons you get. Has anyone else bought it? What do you guys think of it?

I have played bioshock on my xbox 360, its pretty great. Everything from the gameplay, to the 'ambience' to the 'moral choices' is excellent.

I have Shader 2.0 so I grabbed the mod files, but finals weeks are here so I'm not playing it at the moment.

Main screen takes about a min or 2 to load, and inbetween zones is about 5-7 minute load wait, this is due to the shader pixel mod fyi.

Is it just for Xbox or PC, because in class my friends were talking about that game and they said they couldnt get it to load and I thought it was on PC only but I also heard they played it later on their Xbox.
Because I am tempted to buy it I just wanna make sure its for the PC.

Guys, this so called original story is something you should have played a decade ago. That being System Shock 2, seriously the story is basically copied and pasted into Bioshock with some names changed.

The same people that made "Day of the Tentacle" made "Full Throttle" they didn't copy paste. Just because its the same team doesn't mean they should be lazy.

Since Bioshock is a sequel/remake of System Sh- oh wait. No the people were lazy, they copy and pasted their story from SS2 into a new engine, and their so called moral choices are a binary black and white choice, hell the choices don't even account for much, you harvest two little sisters and you get the bad ending no matter how many you save.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, anyone? I wish they'd made it into a movie.
