Unreal goes Free
For anyone delusional enough to still be sticking to Unity, there's now literally no reason left to hide behind your denial. Unreal 4 is now free.

Re: Unreal goes Free
Out of curiosity, I googled "unity vs unreal" since I wasn't even aware Unity is a thing. The only bit of information I found is that Unity uses C#.

Unity's free version has a lot of unremovable "analytical software", aka DRM, that basically monitors you. Also, you don't have source control in Unity free (not sure about the licensed variant), and from what I have heard it is rather limited. I think HKS might know a bit more about the technical parts since he was reading on it earlier.

Re: Unreal goes Free
While it was fairly open to develop on the Unreal engine before, this new 'Free' means you also get the full source code for everything, which cost thousands of dollars before. Nice!

For anyone that hasn't really looked into it. The new UT is also freely available with it.
