The PvP portion of the cancelled MMO Project Titan, reworked into a new multiplayer game: A mashup of playful sci-fi, Pixar-like art, and Team Fortress 2's team shooter gameplay, with what appears to be character-based classes like League of Legends. Whether they'll stick with these twelve as traditional classes, like TF2, or expand the roster over time like a MOBA, I do not know. But, they've got abilities and even an ultimate, so I would lean toward the latter.

Looking over these character's abilities, I find their kits are individually pretty simple.

Hey look, it's a carbon copy of TF2. Just waiting for the Hats, now.

Actually, its gameplay more resembles UT to me. Could be fun, if you can make it past the cheesy graphics and cringe-worthy voice acting. We'll see.

UT was not role-based.

It plays significantly more like UT than TF2. Take away the options of gun variety, and yes it SEEMS like TF2, but I don't know- it just felt like UT.

The UT franchise has a crisp movement system; I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard modeled off of them.

I haven't played UT since 2000 so I'm not sure if my reference point is completely out of date or what....

More like I haven't played an FPS shooter since UT.

You aren't missing much. UT2004 was the last decent FPS, really, especially from a multiplayer perspective.

I don't see myself getting into MP fps' again just because of the communities involved, but one can only hope they don't take the f2p route with this game.

Considering their biggest competitor/comparison will be TF2, which is now free-to-play, I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route, too. Especially if they're planning to continually develop new characters for it. A paid game asking for more money isn't viewed favorably, and the work required to produce an entire new character isn't cheap.
