There are 2 methods of skinning:IskatuMesk wrote:Mark, how do you feel about texturing entire scenes? Multiple objects, mostly mechanical in nature. Some with very specific designs (ruby/gold bladed engraving) others much more industrial/gritty (like your guns). You have experience making normals, too, right?
-Photoskinning: Simplest. You simply need to rip textures from various sources and kitbash them into your skins, most skin maker do this for scenery and world objects. I did this with all my RTS models.
-Manually drawing everything: Most difficult and time consuming. You draw everything by hand, color them, set up lighting properly, and put it into the model UV. I did this with all my gun skins. Some Photoshop options made this much more easy apparently.
It is your pick whether you want me to skin your shit in what way, I could photoskin a large portion of the terrain and reserve the manualy drawing for just the engravings and what's not. Details for me is easy, if you tell me to engrave a horse into your skins I probably could... What I couldn't do unfortunately is normals, I have never did normals before nor do I understood them...
Oh.. and did you know I'm turning Retribution into a manga IRL?
