Do you intend to buy HotS?
It's possible that I remake the same poll near the release dates of HotS.

I was not really pleased with WoL and I don't expect much from HotS, but I'm intrigued enough to buy it. I'm interested to see how the plot plays out - not simply to see how much Blizzard screws up, but more that I have some hope they might fix some of the major problems with WoL (but again, I doubt it.) WoL had some enjoyable points and at the very least I can expect that from HotS.

No. I'm not going to hold a sinking ship aloft. I have yet to get the product I paid for with WoL.

I haven't even gotten around to buying the games I'm actually excited to play. SC2 has failed to hold my attention, and I just don't see any reason to put down money for an exanpsion of a game like that.

I'll buy it to play the campaign. That I at least enjoyed from WoL (even if the story itself sucked).

Maybe years after its release, do I can lol my way through the story. I'm sure that'd make one hell of an LP.

What razorclaw said. And I also look forward to all the new assets in the map editor.

Re: Do you intend to buy HotS? (Poll - November 2012)
Personally, I guess "depends if my friends will buy it" with a close "depends if blizzard fixes things".
Without going into too many details :
I do have a harder time to get players for the FFS event and many of the FFS players do give me the impression that they won't buy HotS or at best it would be a "obligatory" purchase.
Hence, I can easily end up keeping the FFS event WoL-only since we mostly play custom maps and mapmakers are less likely to plain convert to HotS-only for no good reason or they would keep a WoL version around.
As far I am 100% concerned, the Arcade patch don't feel it fixes enough to my taste. Still too many of the same popularity maps taking pages 1 and 2 while the open games are still more or less left to dust as most players don't even know they exists. Even for mapping, I don't see any new asset or feature that honestly wow me that much.

I will buy it and might even fix my video card when it comes out. I played the hell out of the campaign and I was very active in custom games until diablo 3 came out. If Diablo 3 hadn't melted my video card I'd probably still be playing wol regularly...

Err, how exactly it did melt your video card? Is it in a specific situation? For example, I know that some cheap video cards did go wrong with SC2 out of games (chating, checking the next map to play, etc.) as the FPS was uncapped causing the video card to always go 100% pointlessly.Krazy wrote: If Diablo 3 hadn't melted my video card I'd probably still be playing wol regularly...
Otherwise, it does explain why you were pretty much absent for such long times from the FFS event.

I'm not exactly sure what the issue is... All I know is that launching sc2 or d3 causes my computer to freeze. I call this my video card melting but that's probably inaccurate. I'm really crappy at figuring out what's wrong with computers. And I don't really have the time lately to deal with it anyway.

Are you able to play any GPU-intensive games? If so, then it's more something about Blizzard programming that somehow doesn't like your computer, video card or something in Windows.Krazy wrote:I'm not exactly sure what the issue is... Blizzard is notorious for sucking, so that's probably it.
