Obviously you never played Diablo 2. The primevals were banished, and the worldstone was shattered - all of Hell would spill onto the Earth because the boundaries separating them were weakened by the worldstone's destruction. At least, that's what I gathered from Tyreal.

I don't know where you keep getting this information from, but Blizzard has yet to state at all what games they will work on next, and don't be so blind, there's more to Diablo lore than the prime evils and there's always ways to bring them back. Even the final cinematic should show that it was obvious Diablo lore would continue. There's no reason for WarCraft to be touched, they still have at least potential for three to four more expansions at the LEAST for WoW. There's so many other dimensions untouched yet, they wouldn't do a stupid marketing step to announce WarCraft 4 when World of WarCraft came out recently AND so did WarCraft 3. Compare that to the ten year span of StarCraft or the nearing 10 years of Diablo.

If you're going to "quote" Blizzard interviews, SHOW your proof.

I do remember well Diablo 2, you do kill Diablo and Mephisto and in the movie with Baal and Marius the "hero" destroys both soulstones, I do think Baal's stone was not destroyed.

The hero kills Baal at the end and more than likely goes to the Hellforge to destroy his soulstone after Tyrael tells him to take a rest.

Remember though Tyrael opens a portal and sayins "you deserve a rest hero" it doesnt state that he goes back to Hellforge and destroy the soulstone.

Remember I said he more than likely. I never said he did.  ;)

Yes, but as it's said by several NPCs in Harrogath after you kill Baal, the "boundaries between the worlds are weakening" or something like that. Therefore it's obvious that, despite being banished from the earth realm, the prime evils will eventually exploit this dimensional weakness and gather their armies again for another full-scale invasion.

There's always room for a prequel as well, showing the Sin War or something. Seeing the Horadrim mages in their prime would be really interesting.  :)

Anyway I have to agree with Lav, Blizzard got their hands full with WoW: there are plenty of regions to be unlocked still, such as Northrend, the Nerubian spider kingdom and Kul-Tiras(Admiral Proudmoore's nation), so I was hoping that they'd resume work on SC: Ghost. Two Starcraft titles would be interesting and entirely possible, considering how Blizzard released WoW soon after WC3:TFT.

There's always the possibility of a spinoff Diablo game as well.

The thing with ghost is that they kept trying to outsource it to stupid, unreliable companies and kept shooting themselves in the foot when it didn't turn out right. Now there's a slew of next-generation consoles out that Blizzard has not a clue about, and all the work they did have is virtually useless, not to mention Ghost got some fairly bad feedback about being a "corridor shooter", since it really didn't have any major selling point besides being Starcraft. They'd need to rethink the entire game, and then get an actual team together for a next-generation console project.

I am pretty sure Ghost is dead for a long, long time.

I think Doctor Doack is right, Ghost will stay untouched by Blizzard for a while, until they can get into the new consoles or decide to make a new game for PC and use Ghost.

Ghost was set how far along after StarCraft? Consider StarCraft 2 is three years, Ghost kept all units such as Dragoons in play, so the storyline simply wouldn't work.

I remember reading somewhere on IGN that SC2 is set 3 or 4 years after BW.

So in a few short years the protoss COMPLETELY changed their military...? I wonder how they're going to explain that.

Some of those events could of happened recently to SC2 or earlier on soon after BW. Recall Immortals are simply modified Dragoons and Colossus were already created just disabled. When you think about, if they could "warp in" so many units already in one single battlefield, it shouldn't be that difficult for them to modify chassis, etc, and the Dark Templar simply never showed much of their technology.
