Yes, during the demo I was just like 'just use the locust spell on everything.'  That fire cost a lot of mana.  Then he should have mind controlled the boss to make him tear himself up.

There are enough fan boys all around the internet humping Blizzards leg, they don't need us.  Besides, they still have our vote for SC2.

"The game's multiplayer component will operate via Battle.net, Blizzard's online service that launched with the original Diablo in 1997 and has served every Blizzard title since, with the exception of MMO World of Warcraft. The move suggests Diablo III will be a free-to-play title like its predecessors, and not a subscription-based game as some had speculated."

Of course.  It wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but the same happens with SC2 actually.  Blizzard shows something new, and the fans say "Naaah, Blizz, COME ON!!! We want teh old stuff!!1!!"

I just want to be open minded about their developments, and wait with my personal reviews until I've actually played the games.

ok so I finally watched the videos and I'm actually excited about Diablo 3 now :P

nice that the dungeons & storyline etc seem to be a lot less formulaic, ie. meeting those soldier dudes in the dungeon whereas in D2 you'd only get that shit in the town (and it's one town per act etc lol)

and it wouldn't be a StarCraft game without a preview movie for a Diablo game on the disc :P

Yes that was my primary concern for SC2 as well.

About the Diablo III Inventory.

Kazo wrote:Kazo has been awesome taking notes on his own and has dispatched a few screenshots and info from the gameplay video.

Kazo: "I watched the gameplay video again and took some pictures from moments when the items and skill descriptions are visible. Some new type of items that dropped from Diablo3 monsters in the video:

- Minor Lethality Rune
- Minor Power Rune
- Ancient Medalion
- Minor Energy Rune
- Chipped Star Topaz - New "star" variant
- Elixir of Vitality I
- Elixir of Willpower I

INVENTORY
Blizzard said they have plans for making the inventory much better.
In the video we can see room for 30 items. It seems each item will have it's own reserved space with no size variations, similar to the bag system of World of Warcraft. The Barbarian, however, has only 12 item spaces "active" or "available", other 18 being "greyed out". This means characters in D3 will be able to carry variable sizes of bags. If you look at the bottom of the inventory space, there are 4 greyed out slots for bags, similar to World of Warcraft. The icon for these bags is the same as the main inventory screen icon.

That's why people play Diablo, it's always fun to know you're better than your friends.

Why is anyone surprised that its not subscription based. Look what happened to Flagship.
