What have we done.

I heard about the Tracer pose removal, but I don't know the order of events. From what was said above, let's see if I have it right: Blizzard animation department makes a suggestive pose for Tracer, Blizzard removes this pose for some reason, then Blizzard itself makes an announcement on its removal before anyone had even seen it, let alone made any kind of fuss over it? If this is correct, it would seem they are intentionally trying to stir up 'bad' publicity, like releasing your own sex tape.

No, censor-go-lucky SJWs were the ones to bring it up, from what i can tell, it was definitely already in the game for a while.

There was a generic over the shoulder pose used for several heroes (widowmaker, tracer, some cowboy) as presumably a placeholder. A guy posted on the overwatch forums saying the generic pose (which is on the first page) is horribly sexist and objectifies tracer. He then goes on to make a bunch of statements about how tracer should be fun and quirky. Then the post gets real PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN by dedicating a paragraph to how his 6 year old daughter has autism and watches the overwatch trailer every day in the morning when she gets up. He's concerned that seeing digital butt will make his daughter an internal misogynist or something. This is all very silly in light of the fact the game is about killing other players.

Morhaine responded with a post that was basically; "Yes we do want to gullible fucks who think like this so we'll change this to a pose appropriate for your daughter" and a week later they changed tracers pose to a literal WW2 pinup pose.

In essence, Blizzard tried to use the post to stage progressive PR because it's the in thing to do this year, but people are slowly catching on to the tumblrtard meatspin and called them out. Considering all the characters have their suits up their asscracks their market pandering attempts are the shallowest of the shallow.
