Podcast: Round Table

Post by Lavarinth »

IskatuMesk and Lavarinth sit down and take a step back from the usual chit chat to discuss what it's like running Campaign Creations, and banter about the Diablo III Beta. Little did you know both IskatuMesk and Lavarinth are both unique monsters in Diablo III, except one was cut for a "not so epic" name, can you guess who?

On the portrait thingy:

We can use a unit model, say a Zergling, and use that as portrait model data. Haven't tried exported models through the plugin yet.

Regarding New campaign makers:

The urge itself is enough, imo. I started making campaigns by making maps with AI for the challenge. Then incorporating sense into it. Like, "okay, this camp is a rebel camp, and you're here to stop them, but then discover they're actually ...."

Creativity works itself out, I believe.

Like Bruce Lee implied, just get into it. Planning and refining comes later for new campaigners. More experienced ones jump into story and such planning because they've already seen and experienced what they can do.

Just my two cents.

Most people are not very creative, unfortunately.
