Announcement of personal submission in dedicated forum within the first two weeks of contest announcement, and updates at least once a week on progress including screenshots from within StarEdit and whatever modding is incorporated. Campaign must be completed within a two month (60 day) period, where on the final day will require all current contestants to submit their work. We encourage original and new material to be created. The main consideration per project would be the story driven content. Other aspects will be taken into consideration (graphics, modifications, audio) only as bonuses. We encourage the creation of smaller projects due to time constraints. Not finishing your project will most likely not help you win. Winners will be chosen by quality and presentation of their project.

ACTIVITY DATES:
Contest Begins: December 13th, 2007
Contest Ends: February 10th, 2008

PROCEDURE:
Project announcement on "StarCraft Mini-Campaign Competition" forum. Only one thread per contestant is allowed. First post will contain project information and plot synopsis (one paragraph summary). Following posts will include any selected details of submitted project. At any time during the following eight weeks, contestants are required to submit development logs and screenshots of their project at any day of the week once a week. Upon completion a separate reply to the contestants page must be added with the body "PROJECT COMPLETED." After, you may add links to download your project. We encourage you to wait until the final week to upload your project, but are not required to.

very cool!  I haven't been very active at this site, but have had it bookmarked, visited it, and downloaded content from here for years.  I am glad to see that the Starcraft Single-Player experience is still alive!  I only wish I had more experience w/ map making.  ... some creativity would help too.  :o

There are a lot of great mods out there that could make for very interesting campaigns.  Mesk's recent AO comes to mind.  Maybe  the player might even be able to control a few AO zerg units???  1/2 dozen AO zerg units vs.  the hordes of fodder that normally are those of the player.  The blood... The fury.. the destruction!

I actually started a small campaign for Ash's Star Wars Open Rebellion, but got lost in so many other little projects that it faded away.  There is a kid who visits my site however that has supposedly built/started a campaign.  I will update the post at our forums to this thread as well as make a note in the news.  Maybe I can muster up some motivation to submit something from that universe as well.  Everything else tho would have to be put on hold.  The inability to stay focused is a vicious annoying little circle !  keeps shit from ever getting completed.

LONG LIVE SINGLEPLAYER STARCRAFT! :)

You know you don't have to have mapmaking skills to contribute. Campaigns benefit from great writers, musicians, artists and of ourse voice actors.
