StarCraft II: RELEASED

Post by Lavarinth »

Years after it's glorious announcement, StarCraft II finally launched hours ago. Many were in lines far before midnight, many waited for the morning, or their shipments to arrive. As the Battle.net servers flooded, we played, and played and played. We enter a new era of gaming. StarCraft, you were once a true path for us campaign designers, but your sequel is now the shining light. Here's to a decade of StarCraft II, and then some.

More to come.

UPDATE: Please note any downtime is absolutely not planned. *smirk*

Wow, this is unbelievable, they are charging an additional 15 dollars for european customers, even if they aren't in the EU.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind playing 75 dollars for SCII considering the amount of money, time, and dedication spent on this, but cheating the euro dollar exchange rate to get more money off of weak minded Europeans is an inexcusably dirty way to get more money. It is digital, there is no reason for a regional price increase. Blizzard has become as bad as EA.

Look at steam, that is even more ridiculous. US dudes get prices in dollars and Europe guys just get the dollar sign replaced with the euro sign with no actual price conversion. It's idiocy.
