Actually I think there may be an "updated" (I say that relatively speaking ofc) version somewhere, on a Korean site. It was probably made with Stardraft. Playable, probably if you had the right version (ancient).

I don't have it on me and I'm not exactly sure where to get it unfortunately.

That mod is what got me into serious iscripting. After that I started work on MFTGATRL and all of the silly shit. I also got HKS into that, he was responsible for all of the math because I suck at math. But together we recreated most of what he did in magi of war in MFTGATRL and the concepts of everything else endured into AO (Meteor and such).

That mod is what really put me in gear for sc1 modding. I owe a lot to it.

IIRC, as long as the thing was made in a cwad, it can be ported to an mpq. Not usre if Stargraft stuff was portable.

Stargraft will dumb a cwad or mpq or something when it fails to start. You can rip data from that, but not buttons.

Well, that's sort of the problem. If Blizzard couldn't do any triggering gymnastics with their own editor, what chance do we have?
Way to misinterpret what I said, Drummy!
Way to misinterpret and not read everything after the first sentence. Simple triggers are native to pretty much every RTS editor - it was the advanced stuff which gave Brood War a 10 year lifetime and condemned all the Red Alerts and Age of Empires to the graveyard after 2 to 3.

Alevice: Sort of what I said in the following paragraphs.

What I meant was that wether blizzard use some of the more complex functions in the editor or not is not relevant, as it has never been the case.

Yeah, as has sort of been mentioned or implied, my problem is not that I wouldn't be able to trigger at all, it is more that I basically want to create heroes with spells on par with something like storm of the imperial sanctum. If I created a map (which would be next january at the earliest) it would be a team hero rpg with a focus on using synnergy to combat dynamic bosses. Although one or two maps had a few quasi-boss fights (like the tunnel penultimate mission, if you decided to kill ground) nothing has as many spell-like abilities as I would want to make.

Some guy made "boss battle" maps but all of the bosses were hopelessly boring and generic.

Was it unprotected? I might still look at it.

There's a better one on Bnet now, but it's very WoW-esque in that everyone has a specific role and if you deviate from it for one second, you all wipe instantly.

So pretty much more badly designed.

So, even more awful.

Are you talking about this map "WOW General Vezax Boss Fight"?

nah something that showed up early release/late beta, there was a few of them. You basically ran around as a dt and cut the boss when you summoned mustaches and it was extremely generic. Every boss was pretty much the same and had nothing particularly interesting about them.
