Modding IT. At least during beta.

I still remember when this site was agianst modding pre-wc3 release.  With reason, I know, but still. Then again, many admins have changed in the years :P

And being brutally honest, during wc3, CC fell quite behind.

It wasn't so much the modding, but rather the rampant piracy of the game by said modders being openly encouraged by a certain community site.

Hence my "with reason" statement. I don't blame anyone, I just think that wc3 wasn't CC's strongest era, so it was the last place it came to my mind to check for SC2 modding.

For those finding moonspeak too messy, I scavenged the relevant bits:

Me neither (unless it is a cheap EU3 ripoff). But I still try to see what can I do already and every modding place is a good place.

Just for shits and giggles, I have also worked on determine how the whole item/inventory business fits together. I have updated the hero mod to reflect my discoveries (Captain Zealotron can carry sweet preplaced loot!)

Missing IMO is a way to restrict containers to a given item class, restrict containers from equipping items (and only carry them) and charges. But that will be for later.

Custom item layouts against a model would work great for my Wahtleships concept. Items that take 1x2 or 2x2 slots would probably require triggering however.
