Sc2 servers are going down and "patch notes are coming". Stay tuned.

Most notable part of the entire thing -
You haven't asked this question yet, but I'll answer it ahead of time. We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we're really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year, so with that in mind, it really shortens the window of time with our major content patch coming out pretty close to the end whether it's even worth it putting out the map editor at that point.
They are considering dropping the editor in the beta, and from the sounds of it, even if they don't it will only show up extremely close to the end of the beta.

BROWDER REFERRED TO MAPS AS MODS AGAIN FUCK THAT GUY DRIVES ME CRAZY

Sorry, what was the difference again? : p

Well that's disappointing news, although lets hope it'll come out and sooner more so than later.

      [/li]
    [/li]
BUG FIXES
  • Addressed an issue causing people to receive an “Internal Battle.net Error” message with their game client.
  • Muting your microphone will no longer cause your microphone to be turned off in the operating system once the program has exited.
    • [li]Please note that the voice chat functionality has only partially been implemented. There are many known issues with voice chat that we expect to address in a future patch.
    [/li]
  • The “Medium” graphical settings were reconfigured to work better on appropriate machines. The video settings “auto-detect” functionality has been reset as a result.
  • Added a frame rate limiter to the game menus to prevent some graphics cards from running at higher frame rates than necessary.

Interesting note - the game makes an extra folder for old exe and dll files, potentially for old replays? Can't log in right now, will try it when bnet is back up.

Thoughts on patch -

Mothership got a needed nerf, but mass recall looks crazy.

Viking got a needed buff vs light air, not sure about armor loss though.

Reaper got BUFFED vs buildings? Wtf? Yes, he does a bit less damage, but his DPS actually went up. Nexus hit-and-run will remain strong, even stronger now.

Infestors spawn marines again or something? Channeled MC looks silly if used properly - mc Mothership and vortex protoss fleet, suicide mothership into your own army.

Slight nerf to Gateways so 2gate isn't so fucking OP.

No more chrono trigger allies! Good change.

No changes to hydras? Roaches? Well, they've said they don't want to do any major balancing for a few weeks. I guess hydra spam will remain insane.

Yikes, Feedback... I've never seen the Corruptor's building disabler used, maybe now it'll be used just to keep its energy down so they don't get feedback'd to death.

That was awesome timing based on the conversation we were having at the time. Time to see how awesome Mass Recall is, lol.

Warp fields stabilized.

This will annoy me greatly if they drop out the editor even in the latest beta patches. I would like more precise galaxy details. You will only truly see those details in their GUI editor. Blizzard is too likely to be vague about any official info about the editor.

I think it's still in their interest to add it in the beta if only to able to test the editor's functionalities and to test bugs that won't show up in melee but would show up with the maps made with the editor.

Reaper DPS went up by less than one, and now they require a little more micro to use, since hit and run attacks aren't really about the sustained DPS. I'm cool with it. Feedback will be used to wreck corruptors and overseers.

So, another new patch. They're pumping these out fast, but oh well it's beta.
