2009 November 17 - Lair - Battle for Asylia

Hello! This is our first new Mp3 of the Week. I am your host, IskatuMesk.
In the days of olde, CC held mp3 of the week in not so weekly intervals. Well, after a loooong haitus and a lot of harassment, we're back!
Along with dragons, swords, and loli, I collect something else - music. Every week I will be posting a new mp3. These won't be mainstream stuff, like j-pop and metal, but rather stuff from exceptional game soundtracks and other such elements. I'll be focusing mostly on orchestrated elements, but may post other types of music depending on what I have available. If you would like to suggest an mp3, feel free to PM me.
So with our first post, I'll introduce our format.
Title: Battle for Asylia
Source: Lair, Playstation 3
Artist: John Debney
Type: Orchestral
For the first mp3 of the week I wanted something with energy. Amongst my top 5 soundtracks is Lair, a splendid work by John Debney. This piece demonstrates what I look for in action pieces. There are two versions of this track - the one from the gamerip, and the one from the OST. This is the one from the OST, which features additional choral elements.
