Re: StarEdit.Net campaign contest
I'm just saying STORY isn't what made Laconius win.
He won because he made an awesome campaign with awesome added value, if you will.
I know he could have done the same thing with a completely different setting from Starcraft. But he was limited.
I don't think anyone else will be able to do what he did.

heh, minerals
a story about 2 guys using stims and fighting gangsters in the slums of Korhal, with NPCs occasionally using a metaphor/analogy referencing zerg or protoss, counts as Starcraft universe right?

I was being funny (AND serious)! I am an admirer of his work, and he knows it! He's up there with the great ones for me. Auspex, Desler, Oracle and Laconius: the quartet of quality, here to inflict pain on mediocricy.
Let's hope Lac doesn't abandon us like his predecessors.

So Oracle IS gone, eh. Shame.Let's hope Lac doesn't abandon us like his predecessors.
Good thing there's new blood coming in, I couldn't bear to see SC1 abandoned.

Don't know. He seems gone.
Anyway, Laconius will not abandon us before releasing something amazing again. But that seems to be the golden rule amongst the legends: release 2 amazing products, then disappear. Well, Desler made a couple more but only a few were legendary. The Sweet Science was promising. He said was a prequel to something.

It's a good thing we've shot this down several times in the podcast already.HelpMe wrote:So Oracle IS gone, eh. Shame.Let's hope Lac doesn't abandon us like his predecessors.

Re: StarEdit.Net campaign contest
Ah, so my lack of interest in the podcasts has finally been exposed...
Then again, if aforementioned legends rely on podcasts alone for providing information surrounding their current status, might I be so bold as to state they may not be as legendary after all?
I'm not saying podcasts are a lousy way of providing information (maybe a little bit ) but it might be a good idea to post important stuff discussed in these podcasts somewhere here.

Re: StarEdit.Net campaign contest
He didn't provide any information in person, Lavarinth simply explained why he's been away - he's attending his wedding and related material. He has mentioned this on the forums as well, but I guess no one saw it.
