Post by Gemini »

Before the fall of the Confederacy...
Before the rise of the Dominion...
A man by the name of Jack Sherall picked up a gun for the first time.

Announcing Bootcamp, the latest campaign from Gemini, the creator of Life of a Marine. This four-mission campaign will go back to the beginning and show how Jack Sherall, Craig Skillen, Katherine Logal and Vertigo came to meet each other during the events of Starcraft Episode I: Rebel Yell.

No release date has been set as of yet, but expect it "soon".

Stay tuned for further information, and I will answer any questions you have.

PROGRESS UPDATE: I am in the final leg of the process. The maps are completed, save for tweaks to fix bugs and alter difficulty. I have to finish creating the SEMPQ, and the score needs to be completed and then converted to a quality better than midi. I've hit a bit of a snag in that regard. Archangel has told me he can do it but not until November, and my other leads in this regard don't currently have the equipment or software set up properly. If anyone knows someone who can help me out, get my music to sound higher quality, please let me know. The campaign is *this* close to release.

Hey Gemini! First of all, sorry for my bad english. I just learn it.

I am 26 years old and live in Germany.
I have played your campaign "Life of a Marine" last year and now I get around to tell you: your baby is absolutely awesome! (LOAM, i mean... ;D)
More-over, your taste of music is really, really cool. Many of my friends are the same opinion.

My question to you is: When do you have planned the release of your Precursor Campaign "Bootcamp"?
I can't wait for it anymore, if you understand... ;)

PS: I hope, it's okay to reply to this old thread after four months...

With many greetings from Germany, Eredalis...

Here's the lowdown:

It's done, except for some beta testing. All I need to do is write music for it all. And there's the problem. I have composer's block.

Thanks, Lavarinth, for your acknowlegded words. I am glad to hear from a Administrator, that there is no problem with regard to the forum rules.

BOOTCAMP is nearly complete! That are good news...

After I read the last sentence, it makes *kling* in my head. Because I know this problem just too well, if I wrote on my two books, whereof I can one hopefully to publish this year. Every type of blockade is real pithy...

The best advice is probably to free the mind from the most wanted things. In other words: push the Reset-Button for a couple of days. Maybe it helps...

I have another question in addition. On your great web-site, (Hey Lavarinth, you have also worked on this beautiful page! Nice work, guys...) you show altered portraits for Jack, Katie and Co. Why do you have not create a SEMPQ for that?

Sorry for the late reply, bu the SEMPQ campaign is being put off. Just a lot of work in term of vocal work because of timing.
