Any particular reason why Shizuka's hasn't speak a word with DeathClaw during the whole 5th book, but she did at beginning/intro of book 6? I first thought it might be related with her "fusion" with Sorona so she holds far more control over DeathClaw then before, and as you know, she doesn't like to give DeathClaw control over her body, she wants to be independent from him.

There wasn't a point in her appearances in Book 5 where it was necessary for her to speak to him.

'Fusing' with Sorana is more or less Shizuka coming to terms with her own humanity.
