Look, I understand and acknowledge the fact that this is a StarCraft Forum, but I wanted to make a topic about a little something that's been bothering me lately... It's about the new Ghost in the Shell movie coming up soon with Scarlet Johansson playing as the major. When I took a look at what the new "Motoko Kusanagi" looked like, I was disappointed. I love Ghost in the Shell as much as the next guy, but good lord she doesn't look right to me!
This is just me stating some personal feelings about it, but I am also worried about the climate that's been going on around the new movie, as well as the controversy around Scarlet Johansson's role in the movie. Even I'm wondering if it was wise of them to hire her for the lead role.

I am pretty sure this whole thing is all really just projecting based on "whitewashing" and I love the character, but if you have seen her image, I warn you... I wasn't impressed myself to say the least and I like the Stand Alone Complex version of Ghost in the Shell better, IMO. What are your thoughts about this? You can tell me about it in the comments and yes, the source of this topic is at the bottom over there.

It seems that the recipe for successfully bringing a Japanese story to American audiences is to make it an insane manlet vanity project. Unfortunately, this recipe also means it will bomb at the box office.

I have watched both the original Ghost in the Shell (1995) and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence as well as all of the episodes of the Stand Alone Complex series. When Zilla said that comment, I didn't think about what he meant until I came to my senses and realized what he meant. Look, I already understood that he meant the introduction of the 1995 Ghost in the Shell.

and Zilla, I am not sure they're gonna make Scarlet's character nude or anything unless they have something that is flesh colored, I guess, such as underwear or anything. Maybe... I am not sure, but hey, a man can dream.

if its pg 13 its not gonna happen, that also means that they (most likely) wont properly address any of the issues that the series raised. i'm expecting a shoeshorned lovestory type bullshit
