For shame, Lav, for shame. Bootcamp's ranks went up to 5k posts, at which point the member would have earned a custom title. If you're not feeling particularly inspired, I'd be willing to take up the task. Ranks are fun. =oD

Ah, mod updates, truly a pain I'm glad I started to avoid.

I've worked out a concept for the ranks, so now I just have the specifics to flesh out. It'll still be Starcraft-themed. I'll need admin access to input the ranks; it's going to be tedious. If you could send the rank images, that would help. I probably have the originals somewhere from when I made them all those years ago, but that'd be troublesome to find. I will be sending a new batch of rank images afterward. They'll still use the progress bar, but with some additional surprises.

I better see a 8===D rank or there will be disappoint.

Anyway, Apart from that... (shudders) I've got a few good ideas for ranking in the forums. I don't understand why the unit rankings in the forums is based on Terran Units like, Terran SCV, Terran Marine, Terran Battlecruiser, etc and such. The rest seems to be just post count display. Wouldn't it be better to use actual ranks, like Private or Sergeant? I am just saying.

Here, I've got some ideas about the ranks. How about these? You start out with these and work your way up to the higher ones. Here are the ones I picked:

• Recruit
• Private
• Corporal
• Specialist
• Sergeant
• Master Sergeant
• First Sergeant
• First Sergeant
• Sergeant Major
• Marshal
• Warrant Officer
• Lieutenant
• Captain
• Major
• Commodore
• Lt. Colonel
• Colonel
• Lt. Commander
• Commander
• General
• Admiral

I also thought of at least some Zerg ranks as well, for when you reach a fairly healthy amount of post counts in the forums. How do you like these? here is the selection:

• Underling
• Drone
• Predator
• Infestor
• Slayer
• Ravager
• Guardian
• Assassin
• Metamorph
• Devourer
• Corruptor
• Overlord
• Overseer
• Cerebrate
• Overmind

As for protoss ranks? I thought these would do, for when you reach much higher post counts. Here are the ones I selected:

• Mentor
• Instructor
• Master
• Praetor
• Prelate
  (For Moderators)
• Executor
• Hierarch

So, what do you think? It might look excessive so let me know, if it is too much.

Hercanic already has a list of ranks he has written up, though it is tentative. It is still based on racial ranks but it has a bit more flare.

If you have any other ideas, I am all ears. I may have forgotten something too when typing these all out. It actually took alot to type these out.

Also, interesting news, I am stuck in the hospital waiting for my dad to finish his "eye surgery" at the Marietta Eye Surgery in Georgia. I know I didn't need to say anything, but I woke up very early in the morning to accompany him there. I am sort of tired right now.

That reminds me, I need to install a mod for mobile viewing since it seems to be quite the rage these days!

Mod? Shouldn't there be a default mobile skin? I'd be surprised if phpBB didn't have mobile-detection skin-swapping integrated yet with all these new fancy dropdowns added.
