MK X has DLC characters on the disc.

As the name suggest MK X seems to have DLC characters on the disc. You can fight them in the story mode and they seem to be working as things are. However, it would seem that most people are still willing to throw money at the devs for DLC that, in some parts, is already on the disc.

Some people claim that the characters aren't finished and that two of there three stances need more work and that that is what the DLC is. Shouldn't it be a patch in that case?

Some news sites reported on this but changed there stories after Netherrealms had contacted them telling them that they were wrong;

http://gamingbolt.com/mortal-kombat-x-o ... -confirmed

So if the dev tells you you are wrong you should agree that you are wrong.

At first I figured people would flip there shit like they did with Capcom a few years back. But people seem to give MK X a free pass for no real reason.

I thought Arcan had posted this thread and I was happy, then I realized it was not Arcan. Also why would anybody play a western fighter when you can play superior weaboo fighting games?

Sorry to disappoint.

It is not really the fact that it is MK. It is more the fact that people are stupid enough to defend it. I wish I could throw away 30$ extra without a care in the world.

Get a job then? It's shitty, but it sounds like you're just salty because you can't afford it instead of opposing it because it's a shitty practice that is ruining the industry by cutting games up piecemeal and rushing unfinished products to market so consumers can be gouged with shit DLC.

Shrug, have no plans on getting it atm. Maybe later this year but by then it will probably have had a price drop or two. I just figured it was bullshit. The only game I am planning on getting in the near future is Witcher 3.

This basically amounts to "crippleware".

I'm against nickel-and-diming DLC on principle; in addition to the MMO-style cost leech, it's unnerving to know that if something happens to both your hardware and the distributor, you'll lose it entirely. I'm wary of download-only console software for the same reasons. I'd prefer not to buy the game at all until a re-release has the content added to the discs; apparently Borderlands 2 did that, so I may pick it up.
