I think most of the new people in FFS came because of my Youtube channel which contains my FFS event videos. They notice there is an SC2 arcade event and they wanted to be part of it so they came and played.

In addition, quite a few of them don't even go on the Ventrilo channel and just saw the "Campaign Creations" chat group for the most part. Probably without caring that much beyond that.

Hey this is cool. By the name of this thread's title, I thought this was about us, as in, all the people of the world, being the subject (as in the number one subject) of research. Intensive, all encompassing research. Ultimate research. :durr:

Kelly here.

It's going pretty good. I've just about completed a total rough draft of my thesis (100+ pages!).

Actually, I don't know how relevant this is here, but maybe you guys could help. I've got a small section where I'm talking about how everyone is all interconnected and what not through various games (and how people have left the group for other games). So Bill drew up a little map for me. I can't post the super sophisticated MS Paint picture right now, because it has everyone's pseudonyms, but I can write it up.

WC3 (everyone). Split up into:

League of Legends - Milldawg, Shadowflare, Mesk, Lavarinth. Zilla-
World of Warcraft - HKS, Zilla-, Bill (past)
BlazBlue - Ricky, Mucky, Mac_Chaos
StarCraft II - Bill, Ricky, Q
Steam games - Mesk, Wibod, HKS (Bill said you guys usually play together as a group?)

So this is Bill's interpretation. Feel free to add your name, or anyone else you know who probably won't see this. Let me know if you played any of these games in the past or currently still are (I'll probably differentiate on the graph). Or maybe there is another major game I'm missing (I've got room for one more).

Oh, and technically the map is exploring how WC3 divided, but if you weren't here for WC3 you can still give me your info. If I have enough I'll see how I can work it in.

Thanks!

I'm going to have to explain what "circlejerk" means to my committee members.

And why I have so many graphs representing poo slinging.

Oh hey, my name is here :D

Looks good :D
ive really got nothing to add, but graphs are cool. Don't under-emphasize the importance of the vent circlejerks though. It really provides the glue for keeping everyone together :3

I've added some with underlines to consider. I may be missing some from League, it's probably best to ask Milldawg for a full list. I think Milldawg at one point played Blazblue but doesn't possess the newer one or something. He was talking about it at some point, so I presume he was playing it at some stage. Lavarinth played WoW fairly heavily in wrath, along with his girlfriend and some other relatives/friends. Keep in mind HKS and I hardly play blazblue so it might not apply. I mostly watch.

We do not regularly play games on steam. We did play a few off and on (notably Warframe) but I have a hard time sticking around on one game for very long and wibod is always busy. I guess it sort of still counts, though.

And yeah, what Zilla said. Vent is a big deal.

I essentially do a little of everything except SC2 currently. Steam, yeah we were playing together on various things along with someone else unrelated to here. It's mostly me and Wibod now when hes not tied up with school stuff. Mesk sometimes comes along but its mostly to play co-op stuff for now. We are pretty much always on vent though, providing someone isn't a festering corpse at the time.

my stick doesn't work on PS4 and I'm going through an existential crisis for it

like I want to have the new Extend and eventual BB4 games for my PS4, but then I won't have my stick for them

not that I ever advanced beyond the stage of bashing on it furiously

Oh yea, another thought. so its like 2015 right? most of us are still on America Online Instant Messenger and use it as a primary means of communication outside of vent. I talk to lav and milldawg pretty much every day but its how we summon isk and shadowflare to our matches. I suppose ricky spams me with an invite over it from time to time as well.

Just think its kinda funny we're still using this shit
