Part of the problem is the directory structure for Starcraft 2 is like someone just puked all over themselves in vague patterns.

If I sling poo at my monitor when I lose, is that statistically relevant? Like, # of players who sling poo?

Also, I call shenanigans on Ricky's award! If he is the data source, then it stands to reason he'd have to have been present to archive said data, while times he was not present there'd be no data to indicate as such. I'm wise to your tricksy ways, Ricky!

How much poo did you sling? Can you give a weight estimate in kilograms?

This is something that I had not yet taken into account while analyzing replays. This may be an interesting new approach to consider. According to our data, the number of players in our sample who sling poo is approximately two: Ricky Honejasi and you. Will update with graphs later.

Also yes, Ricky's 100% is largely due to him being the largest source for replays :P

I added a list of the number of times that we have played each map to the second post. Results are not surprising.

If this data is mined from replays, does your program exclude/differentiate between AI players?
IskatuMesk wrote:How much poo did you sling? Can you give a weight estimate in kilograms?
That's difficult, because I only recorded them in tetrics, my own personal measurement system for poo. I found both the metric and imperial systems lacking in the necessary descriptive properties. My record is 999,999 tetrics. Length, shape, color, position, and combination, many things go into this measurement. If you understood the system, you'd be experiencing a deep sense of awe and recognition right now at such a grandiose number. It is the intrinsically evocative power of the tetric system.

You should write a research document on it. Inquiring minds want to delve deeper.

Yes, AI players are not counted. It also does not count any players who are only present for a single game, as I consider them to be people who joined a game that was publicly hosted during the event. Here is what the data looks like for the past three weeks of FFS, as an example:

All this chit chat made me interested in joining again, I'm not going to lie. I actually had stopped joining as it as Saturday was the only day I could see a friend of mine, but said friend has since began work on a PhD and time has freed up. I don't know any of these people, however! Who is a LMG or worse yet a BilltheEmu or Krazy.

LMG is the maker of the Zurvivor Zerg Evolution SC2 map. He does come so we play his map (which is quite interresting).

As for Bill and Krazy, you simply have no excuse to not know them!

Thus, feel free to come to the FFS event Lavachu! It's 9 PM GMT-5 (Eastern Time) and the meeting place is the chat group "Campaign Creations" ( != channel ) on the Americas server.

You might be very interested in some of the maps we play currently. Including Micro and Tactics with Editor!

I strongly advise that you pre-download/patch your SC2 since there is a lot of data. Think it's more or less 20-25 GB nowadays. The War3 assets added like 8 GB of optional files recently. If you (or friends) somehow lost your SC2, you can get the Starter Edition for free although it prevents you to chat in channels and chat groups.

By the way, I tend to upload the event's videos on http://www.youtube.com/honejasi.

I recall my last time online, people were curious who "Lavarinth" was and had no idea what Campaign Creations was, even though it says it in the vent channel! Holy snap are these people coming from all over the place!
