Lavarinth. Despite the stunning amount of logical fallacies, disregard for personal/causal influence and inspiration, a lack of basic personal comprehension, and repeated strawmen attacks (mostly out of generic corporatist silencing, or attempts thereof), I'll only respond to one point.

Disrespect?

I have created plenty, regardless of whether or not I have or planned to finish(ed) whatever project they may be. If nothing else - even if all my various skills in custom content creation are so awful as to not offer any value to the fanbase that is so quickly dwindling - I have the utmost respect for those who create.

I attempted to emulate - emulate, not imitate - Laconius' voice acting because I wanted to get better. Never did I conceive of trying to re-do his project's audio. I intended to raise myself to his quality or beyond, if I could. I was trying to improve - hence the thread title, "Looking to Improve". I also talked with Laconius quite frequently back then, and if he had had an issue with me using his work to improve my skills, he could have voiced that concern and I would have deleted the videos and sought another way to improve. Come to think of it, you yourself posted positive (or at least forward-thinking) comments in that thread. I have a hard time believing you really feel that what I did with Vile Egression was truly disrespectful, given your posts.

As for Newrand Citadel, I suppose this makes a bit more sense. It's still just not true, though. What you don't understand is that when I find something I make lacking, I look for the best example of what I want to put in my project and I try to emulate it. And yes, words actually do have definitions; emulate means to imitate a technique until you've mastered it, whilst imitate means to copy without the goal of improving in whatever you're copying. Everything I play or "re-master" is a learning experience for me. I learn how to vocally transcribe emotion. I learn how to set the scene with music. I learn how to create an impact with dialogue. These are things that I must learn and constantly improve upon - as a writer, as a producer, and as an audio engineer, using the last term loosely.

But this, I see, can easily be seen as disrespect. I am painfully aware of the lack of finished projects on my résumé. I intend to fix that, in time. I will take this moment to apologise, though, to any fellow creator I may have offended. While I feel that my emulation of their content was easily justified, and I would do it all again, given the chance, I realise that the attempts I made to improve my skills were possibly not the safest. Oh well.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I hope you can at least see where I'm coming from. If not, you can always crack a joke about my nonexistent rage bar. The issue with nerds in general is that they seem to believe that any time someone is expressing negative comments or views online, they're "butthurt" or "raging". Quite the contrary; I was laughing the whole time I wrote the other post. Ya buncha trolls.

I meant to include this toward the end of my last post but seeing as he's already posted here I might as well just make it separate.

I suppose I owe a pretty big apology to Milldawg, too. I repeatedly detracted from his show, and acted like I knew everything when I of course did not. I clearly didn't see my actions as wrong then - I'm a psycho, not a socio - and it was unfortunate that things went the way they did. I should have merely PM'd him my story.

But I didn't, and I'll own that. I'm just kind of done with this, so I will actually be leaving for a while. Not long, but I will give you guys some time away from me. I know how abusive I can get.

Sorry for being such a downer, everybuddy. And sorry my leave didn't go as quickly as planned, Milldawg. I can see you're eager to get rid of me. :P

Can't really say I blame you. -shrugs-

I actually didn't have any issue with you posting the ending. I thought it was odd, and I was surprised, since I never would have expected someone to go out of their way to write up a big death scene for a Mafia game they weren't even in, but I wasn't actually upset. My posts where I pretended to steal it were just meant to be light-hearted trolling.

I got slightly more upset when you started demanding credit for the death scene after everyone joined in the joke that I had written it myself. Maybe you didn't get the joke, or were joking too, but it didn't come off that way. And then you downvoted my own post as if to say 'wow Milldawg, why are you being a dick about this?' That's how I interpreted it, anyway. And THEN you complained about me getting your name wrong. That one made me suspect you were joking, but I still wasn't sure, since you seemed so serious. But I guess maybe that's just your nature.

Were you actually just fooling around when you downvoted my post and asked people to upvote yours? Or were you secretly BUTTHURT and RAGING?

And then Mucky came in and called you out, and instead of saying "lol I was just joking" you launched into a rant about Lavarinth's moderating policies. I don't know the whole story behind the deleted posts and all, so I can't really comment on exactly what Lav did or didn't do. But you flipped out at Mucky and then called everyone an asshole.

Just when I thought the squabbling was over, you say "screw this I'm out! have a nice life douchebags!" (at least that is what the tone of your post conveyed) and then launch into ANOTHER rant at Lavarinth. I don't approve of how Lavarinth has handled the situation, but if your whole point is that there should be respect and maturity, then you should stick to that regardless of what others do. You have demonstrated a lot of restraint and levelheadedness for the most part, but it only makes it all the more inflaming at the times when you don't.

As for your three points:

1. I can't comment on this since I don't know the extent of the delete posts.

2. Lav got this one right: mAc's post was helpful, while yours was just a joke. Pointing your finger at mAc and demanding retribution won't get you anywhere, since your post was fundamentally different in intent than his. As for the rest of what you said here, again I can't comment on the deleted posts.

3. Lav got this right as well. Maybe you haven't played in a Mafia game before and aren't familiar with how they work, but especially given the apparent fact that you had already been chastised for posting in a game in progress, you should have known not to keep posting. Even if you disagree with your posts being deleted, you should acknowledge the rules of the game (which have nothing to do with Lavarinth or his moderation) and bring up issues with them after it's over. You could argue that you thought it was okay to post because you thought the game was over, but again, given your previous chastisement, you should have simply stayed away from the thread entirely (why did you care anyway?) or waited until the game was officially declared over, or just asked me via PM. Instead you made unwarranted assumptions, and got burned for it. Happens to all of us.

Pretty much all of your points boil down to "I did nothing wrong! Well, TECHNICALLY I did but..." That does not make for a strong argument.

Lav's big rant post after that was uncalled for, and it's good that you didn't engage it. Still, you laced your arguments with snide remarks (i.e. that last paragraph), which undercuts your credibility. Saying 'haha I don't actually care about any of this! It's all just a hilarious game to me!' doesn't encourage people to take your arguments seriously.

I think a big part of the problem with this whole situation is that it's very difficult for me (and likely others) to interpret your intentions from your posts. It's hard to tell when you're being sarcastic or light-hearted, which has led me to interpret most of your posts at face value, which is clearly not your intention, at least for some of them.

I'm not sure if I was going to make a point, but the Daily Show is about to start so I have to go.

I appreciate your apology, though it wasn't necessary to me personally. I'm glad that you did it, though, as it demonstrates good will and respect.

ok bye
