Re: MAFIA: Death Island
Sure would be nice to have a detective right now, but we're just going to have to make due.
Thinking on it, I've got to go with either Alevice or Taeradun being the next most logical suspect. Lav seems pretty typically Lavvy, but that means nothing! I still can't see him as our Pascifist Killer though.
This looks like the time for a colour-coded suspect list! Red=guilty, orange=strongly suspect, yellow=suspect, green=possibly innocent, blue=innocent.

Re: MAFIA: Death Island
Sorry, I was unexpectedly out of town. I must admit I regret having sent Jim to his death. I mean, his tactic seemed so cheap to be not credible. And now we have a fucking troll assassin who is fucking playing with us, probably hoping we all kill ourselves during the day.
And so far, we have no fucking clues to lead us anywhere. Hard to call on suspicions like this, specially when the only targeters can only atrget each other doing nothing.

sounds about right if you add yourself to the list, ThalraxalThalraxal wrote:Taeradun

we're all still suspects:
Taeradun, Thalraxal, Alevice - voted to send an innocent man to his death
High Zealot - voted no lynch which is generally pretty cool but this is a game with a troll killer after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lavarinth - didn't play his cards until the very end when Raynor already had a majority and then was all "I would [have] voted no lynch"
we're basically at an impasse so I'm inclined to vote no lynch unless anyone can come up with any bright ideas (but it sounds like none of us can?)

Re: MAFIA: Death Island
Honestly I wouldn't consider Taeradun guilty, personally. He's just one of the more outspoken of us. My only curiosity is Alevice at the moment, and that's not going on much either.

Re: MAFIA: Death Island
Taeradun has summed up my thoughts but I've been thinking of taking away one of lav's lives. If he is the killer, makes it easier for us to win but if he isn't, we would be screwing lav over. It would be a 1/5 chance of helping so I'm leaning towards no lynch.

I think lavs lives only work on mafia kills and not during lynch?
edit: nvm, lavs lives also work on lynching. phew

Yeah, because that's definitely a smart move to make.High_Zealot wrote:Taeradun has summed up my thoughts but I've been thinking of taking away one of lav's lives. Re: MAFIA: Death Island
So Taeradun has brought up the possibility of staring down the killer's pacifism. While a brilliant move, do we really want to risk having this game to go on forever? No.
Assuming the killer starts killing tonight, we've only got two chances to successfully kill him. Assuming he remains true to his pacifist tendencies, then we've got three. Either way, we've got a 20% chance of lynching the right person today, and a 25% chance of lynching the right person tomorrow. That goes up to 33.33% (that's repeating, of course) chance of lynching the right person tomorrow! Normally I don't advocate randomly killing players to make problem solving easier, but this is an exception. So what are we waiting for, folks? Let's let this game live up to its name!

While I appretiate your enthusiasm, Alevice, I was thinking more along the lines of Taeradun.

surviving for 60 years and then getting murdered is almost as much a win as never getting murdered at allThalraxal wrote:So Taeradun has brought up the possibility of staring down the killer's pacifism. While a brilliant move, do we really want to risk having this game to go on forever? No.

I would love this thread go on 60 years, all the time paranoids that we are about to get murdered every night.

I think during the 60 years, we would all go crazy and kill each other. I'm also voting for no lynch and no lynch
